Oh, and Na’s character was the only one that was really good. Funny until the end. That TikTok clip where he met is boyfriend??? Phenomenal

Fully agree. I just rewatched it. The ending is rushed and is complete nonsense. what if Ton was with a woman at the end but was still unable to conceive a child because he’s sterile? Would the dad die?

I think the cast was great, the actors were all good in their roles, if the plot was better with better characters, this combination of cast would have done really well.

the cast deserved so much better. and are such a good combination for a sitcom or comedy series.

they never are. they're actors and they're just working.
Yeah, they do that to receive more attention. It's okay to support them despite what the agents and studios are doing but if you see something couple-y happening between a popular ship in public, best to believe that they're doing it because they have been told to do so. They're unlikely to show actual feelings or expressions while working (which is most of the time because they have to keep up acts even while walking around in public).

Love it love it love it. I don't care how cheesy or fluffy. As I like to point out from time to time, "cheese"…
The scene where they were sitting on the floor and Zon was just kissing Saifah's cheek was so sweet for me. They are the only couple that I've seen touch each other like that without making it too tense or awkward. They have a healthy amount of both romantic and sexual tension in between them. For a couple of new actors, they've done really well.

I truly love the Saifah - Zon couple but I wish their missing story should have been left in our imaginations!…
I'm stuck in between. They definitely condensed everything. If the scenes were fit into the series, it wouldn't feel like it does. But I really did miss how soft Zon and Saifah are with each other, so I am happy we have this, even if it would've been better if it were in the series.

If anyone's confused with the timeline. It starts with Zon and Zol talking about writing a Yaoi novel, then Zol asks Zon to talk about what happened between the Music Concert and the beach trip that we got to see in the WHYRU? series. 4 minutes and 30 seconds into episode 1 part 1/3, is when we see what happened immediately after the concert. The recounting (of the events in the series) ends at 9 minutes into EP.2 part 2/3. Then we see fluff and stuff AFTER the beach trip.

TL;DR

EP.1 1/3 0:00 - 4:30 -> Zol encourages Zon to tell her what happened immediately after the concert.
Ep. 1 1/3 4:30 - EP. 2 2/3 9:00 -> Zon tells Zol what happened.
EP. 2 2/3 9:00 - EP. 3 3/3 -> Pure ZonFah fluff *after* beach trip

I can honestly say that despite the simplicity of the whole show, I love it. Out of the four main actors, only one of them is experienced (Boss/Kao). The other three are completely new at this. I might have a different perspective because I never read the novel and so have different expectations compared to the readers.

I actually like their acting (Phu/Phuri, Nut/Solo and Petch/Gui), Petch could smile a little more but I do sense the warmth I presume Gui is supposed to have. Nut's body language is a little stiff but I like a character who's expressions are subtle. I could sense when he was angry, sad, happy and mischievous. But it might just be my own preference (I really liked Mork/Fluke from Dark Blue Kiss as a character/actor so yeah).

The pace feels a little slower than I'd like but I'm enjoying how calm it is. I know that this is meant to be a Drama series but when you've watched so many of them in the span of a couple months (I started BL this year around April and have completed 18 shows), you'd want to watch something that keeps you calm.

if I decide to read the novel my perspective might change but for now, I'm really happy with how the show is going. Maybe except the whole Dr. Petch, Khim, Dr Perth and Khem side plot. It's been dragged for too long now.

I know people with think I’m crazy, but I actually enjoy this more than the first season. For those complaining…
They really had to change a lot of their original idea of s2. I did feel that ep 10 and ep 11 has done a lot better than I expected. The story line is picking up and I'm glad. I'm disappointed that they kept the whole KlaNo relationship when it shouldn't exist. I hope they don't put it in TharnType S2.

That is because AePete's story is supposed to continue in s2, but they just scrapped it all because Saint can't…
CHOMPOO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN A LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP IN THE END??????? Bro, we don't have enough of sapphic relationships in the genre and now T_T

I doubt when they were writing out the storyline that the whole manager fiasco happened. They probably set that part aside for S2 and had to scrap what was probably the actual s2 idea for this one.

I guess I'm in the minority... I love the Tin/Can chemistry here.
Don't be sorry, BL is about two men in a relationship. MLM views on the genre is very much valid and needed.
I've seen a couple of shows that are going to come out soon or next year and Manner of Death seems to be one that is a story about something that happens to have the two MCs be together. It feels refreshing and will hopefully have the show work as "This is the main plot, and the two MCs happen to be together", rather than "This is the main plot that is super serious but we're gonna place the focus on the relationship of two men because $money$."

I got into BL (as a woman) because I wanted to see LGBTQ+ representation in Asian societies (I'm still looking for lesbian stories buuutt) and this was the closest. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, it's more just fantasy despite gay relationships being a part of reality.
