Yes, I know! Before 2025 I was watching historic dramas like they were scraps and I was a beggar. I swear there was like 25 released last year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad, but I wish there was a little more variability sometimes with the plots, as well as the actors.

One of my most favorite dramas ever. Leo Wu with braids and as a tribesman, so fireeee.

I haven't watched a drama this good in a while. The ending(climax) was kinda confusing to me though, and although the ending(conclusion) had good meaning, I was still sad there wasn't a proper reintroduction. Rest In Peace Yu Meng Long<3

Also, Curly needed more screen time, she was so cute. They should make a spin off with her ascending and show more of the Heavenly life, since this drama we mainly see the Human dimension.

I really liked this drama, I haven't seen a good one like this in a while, I didn't even skip that much. only thing I would point out is that the romance was kinda meh, it didn't really stick out to me, I saw their dedication to each other, but that was it.

Thought I would drop it because song wei long is one of those same-old-same-old, but I kept going and didn't mind it. It was a good drama, but sometimes boring. Also, the ending felt kinda anti-climatic. The Empress was so pretty, I was so sad she wasn't in the ending. Also, what the heck happened to Princess Nanci, she was literally dropped so quick.

OMG, I said the exact same thing!!! 40 episodes and 5 minute ending where nothing even happened. (Also, I am totally not judging, but who is the forced couple you speak of? Is it Jin Chu?) Also, yes, more cuddles necessary.

I like male lead, and the female leads facial expressions are a breath of fresh air. But girl tell me why after 40 episodes, the conclusion was 5 minutes long bruh. And the way the drama changed from a historical general's love to a palace politics with the Eldest Princess love story was crazzyyyy, but I'm not complaining because that was my favorite part oomph

It was really nice, but I should have waited until all the episodes came out because I had to gain interest back. It was a good story though, and it had those captivating moments between the FL and ML that just ughhh <3

Such a fun movie, liked the tv show more but I couldn't find it, nonetheless, it's the same story, and it was fun and never boring.

I love her so much, she has a certain charm to her that I've been following her since The Great Ruler from COVID times!

Short and sweet: skipped to the parts with the 2nd lead couple. Hour long episodes of the FL crying and brushing her hair to the side in frustration. Not really all that much chemistry on screen too. I even enjoyed the "mean girl" more than FL. I just can't with the FL.

The way I see it:
The point of He Ping being so barely involved is to show just how much stronger ties Li Haichao has to the three kids. Compared to Jian Jian, the boys' parents aren't really there for their children, which makes them appreciate and love Li Haichao more. Some parents are just not that involved in their kids lives, which makes Ling Xiao more pitiable because his mom was supposed to be there for him, but she abandoned him, and Li Haichao fills that void.
