On The Impossible Heir Mar 8, 2024
Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young just saturate the screen with their intensity. Absolute powerhouses despite their youth and putting them together in the same drama was inspired.

I am shocked how stupid those students are. Should we really believe those are 19 years old young adults? On top…
I joined the US Army as an 18 yr old girl. In Basic Training we were all incredibly stupid, shallow, and useless. I have not watched the drama yet, was just perusing comments and reviews. I have no doubt I will be just as annoyed and disgusted by their antics, but I just had to laugh because I recalled how how childish and immature we were no matter how many flutter kicks they made us do. I may come back and agree with you after watching the first episode. Cheers!

Easy. Korean loving a good drama = high ratings.
I would like to second that sentiment. I am always curious how Koreans view the various plot devices used in Kdrama to further the story, actions such as invasion of privacy, which seems to be so commonplace in Kdrama that I wonder if this is a cultural thing or truly a plot device. I try to always be mindful that I am watching these shows through a Western lens but I still find some things baffling.

This is the drama that made you a kdrama fan
I didn't even know Kdrama existed before I stumbled upon Jewel in The Palace, then I found Musa the Warrior and that's all she wrote because I haven't watched anything but Korean TV/Movies since 2021.

Ha Yoon is killing it being the evil friend. Each time she opens her mouth I want to slap Soo Min.
My thoughts exactly! I've only seen her work in Third Rate My Way and she is just chewing up the scenery but then again all of the actors are killing it. I'm just pleasantly surprised at Ha Yoon's talent in taking a character such as this and making her conniving, malicious, narcissistic, and yet maintain such a perfect façade of innocence and false victimhood. I truly feel revulsion every time she is in the scene and I mean that 100% as a compliment to her acting ability. I realize the writer and director intended it to be this way, but I can't imagine it's an easy to task to keep it from being a caricature.

Really enjoying Hwang Hee's portrayal of Sajo Yung. He was fantastic in Nine-Tail and Dali and the Cocky Prince (some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen, which still makes me giggle when I think about it) and I am really pleased to see him branch out to more complex characters. Hopefully he'll start receiving main lead roles soon as he's got the looks and the talent.

Title Mr. Queen
Watched this 100% for Na In-woo ♡
That man could emote wearing a ski mask.
On Lee Jun Young Jan 17, 2024
Person Lee Jun Young
I hated his character (which speaks to his acting prowess) in Brave Citizen with such a passion that I felt a compulsion to look into his other work. His ability to play polar opposite characters such as that in "May I Help You," is quite impressive and I look forward to seeing his work in the future.

Studio Dragon literally said: 'No, dear. Just mentioning is not enough; we will play the song and put the title…
TBH, I was stumped at the mutual shock because I had no idea. My first thought was that it referred to something that might have happened when they were in college together and perhaps Ji Won recalled something that pointed to Ji Hyeok. Anyways, I just appreciated the explanation after the fact. The penny drop was well executed and I'm really enjoying the drama. Even if it was an American music group in an American tv show, I would have needed that explanation because I've never paid attention to when music came out other than recognizing the generation it was on the air.

I was glad they did it, otherwise I would not have understood the significance.
