This is so perplexing to me, Hua Yong is Peak omega: femininely elegant and delicate like a finicky pedigree cat who sits on the window sill all day preening himself, waiting to be petted by just his Master. There is simply nothing masculine about him apart from the fact that he is male. I am not saying femtops don't exist (I'm friends with some!) but absolutely nothing about this character implies he wants to mount a man lol, He's a pillow princess through and through. What an extremely odd choice for the first ever omegaverse bl where they could have properly displayed and capitalized on the innate differences of alphas and omegas, subverting these traits makes the entire genre obsolete. The only reasoning for this casting that I can think of is the fact that particularly very young East Asian straight women commonly idealize very feminine and thus non-threatening men and as we know unfortunately a lot of bl is a straight woman proxy. They essentially want a feminized man who is still archetypally masculine and domineering in his behavior, which makes a lot less sense to me than Western straight women essentially wanting an empathetic emotionally intelligent woman in a handsome masculine man's body. Anyway, if not for the unrealistic writing and characterization, the only thing Hua Yong would realistically top is the list of the cvntiest twinks in bl.
