I wasn't expecting anything of it and I think that's why I enjoyed it very much. There were many inconsistencies and some scenes were absurd, but it's the kind that makes you laugh if you don't expect seriousness, so the drama worked just fine. My only complaint is the last five episodes, there was a trope I hate, hence why I rated it 7 instead of 8. In a nutshell, if you want something to watch without a lot of drama, an intelligent FL, humor, an easy mystery and a HEA, this drama is for you.
This was my biggest issue with the show. There was basically no reason for the FL to like the ML and the didn’t…
Yeah... I know, that's why I don't judge her so harshly because she was trying to live her life and for us, women, the world has never been kind. Also my fault, my expectations were high, specifically towards the romance, and that was so disappointing.

I get it! I can hold grudges for life and one thing I was worried about was CSS forgiving her mother easily, actually, I don't know what happened with them 🤔, oh god... tell me THAT didn't happen 🙃

I actually would prefer it more if the drama had approached her development like Blossoms in Adversity or Jun Jiu Ling, where our FL, despite having little help and fewer allies, was able to shut mouths with actions and the ML was standing at her side, first as a friend/ally, a then a lover. The approach in LLTG first season wasn't like that, and that's why I was so upset with CSS being so stubborn in marrying LY (hence, why I wasn't enjoying her after ep. 15), I know he was her safe option, but to me, it felt a little like she was giving up, I mean, she wanted to be out of her horrible house and to be free of her mother (and I don't blame her, really), but her safest option (LY's family) would eventually be like her house or worse. I felt that she wasn't thinking clearly, which was odd because the CSS I met in the first episodes analyzed things before doing something (even if that something caused trouble). Sorry, I hope all this makes sense 🙃

Yes, this! I mean, okay, the romance is not the principal topic of the drama, but at least, if they were going to develop it in the second season, they should've build up a little more their interactions in this first season. I didn't read the novel so I don't know how things went there, but here CSS didn't seem attracted to LBY most of the time and that didn't work for me because it felt forced.
I'm pretty sure the only reason she agreed to go with LY is because she wanted to escape her family especially…
I see... I'm not really interested in the second season anymore, but thanks for the recommendation. I understood CSS motives for being with LY, what I didn't like was that I started the drama because I thought the drama would be more CSS and LBY focused, not to practically end the drama with them being nothing, like, I wanted them to be a couple, I did expect a slow-burn, but no even that, it felt uncomfortable to watch him force her into an engagement without asking her first, then her wanting to call off the engagement because she didn't actually want to be with someone like him (violence, military, etc.)... It didn't feel like romance, that's why I was so upset, I was expecting something different. Anywho... I'm happy reading fics right now, so maybe I'll give dramaland a chance latter. I hope you enjoy your current drama c:
Were you by chance expecting a simple love story where the main couple fall in love at first sight or the twirl?…
Here's an example in your response... You felt my third response as angry, when it wasn't the case, actually, it just shows how we may perceive things, especially written things when the pragmatics are involved. I understood your explanation about the drama, what it felt off were the start and the end of your comment. But okay, I don't see the point of making this bigger. In fact, as a peace offering, do you have any recommendations? I like stories with a strong couple, a badass FL and a little to no toxic ML, like A journey to love c:

Then, you need to work in the way you write your comments. By simply saying (and I quote): -"I am sorry that Love Like the Galaxy let you down after all the anticipation you went through." Fun fact: The Double, has some inside jokes "the screenwriters, director, and producer put in to poke fun at Love Like the Galaxy"- ; nothing would feel off. Your first comment doesn't feel approachable, so, from my POV, you practically said "You didn't like LLTG, which is not a simple story, but I see you liked The Double, which is a simple story", and that implies (to me, I clarify) that you are criticizing my tastes. It may not have been your intention, but I didn't feel that way.

So basically... I express my opinion and you criticize me for it? Sorry, but you are NOT superior just because, to you, this drama is "not a simple love story". Who are you to assume things about me? Dude, get over it, not everyone will love this drama.
I should know better, than to expect to like a series just because the rating is high. I was waiting for my summer break to binge-watch this cdrama, just for me to fall in disappointment. I very much liked CSS the first episodes, but after the ep. 15 I wasn't enjoying her behavior, I hated her mom and the romance was nonexistent, I mean, I don't mind slow-burn, but this didn't feel like it (I didn't watch the second season and I'm not interested anymore). She didn't seem even attracted to LBY, she showed more feeling for LY, tbh. It was my fault, I highly expected to love LLTG.
I loved it! When I started it I didn't expect to like it this much. Without a doubt, a good option if you want something with revenge, low angst (mind you, I don't like angst, so, to me it wasn't a lot of angst), a good slow-burn and awesome MCs. My only complaint is that we didn't get a lot of romantic scenes.
I rated it 8 out of 10, but I was a little biased because lately I've had bad luck with dramas and couldn't stick with one until NHC, just for that, I overlooked some things and I didn't give a second thought about the final. However, I know this drama could've been a lot better. The drama isn't bad, you should give it a try.
It was different and I liked it. Actually, I was in a slump and everything bored me or nothing caught my attention, so this kdrama was perfect for me, it was enjoyable and engaging, a good choice if you want something a little bit spooky. It could've been better, I agree, however, it wasn't bad either.
He falls first so he flirts with her in every episode and they have a thing, however, officially they are together around ep 37. There's an almost "breakup" in ep 23 and another in ep 33.
My only complaint is the last five episodes, there was a trope I hate, hence why I rated it 7 instead of 8.
