Sorry for the long post, but i feel like it is needed to see why Gao because such an evil person.
Simply, Fang set LX up. LX was blindsided. He didnt know the consequences of the apology (=adnitting that his previous interruption was unnecessary UGH) is the removal of the award. Fang is probably aware of that, and set a trap for him. Fang knows the organisers and the rules bc he is used to violate them (haha).
Fang wanted LX to apolgise for him personally (=lower his head)
LX wouldnt do that. He just apologised the organisation in general.
Gao was unnecessarily mad. He told LX to lower his head for once and apologise to Fang personally. LX refused.
Gao was upset his award was removed, his chance to go abraod was ruined ( i would be upset too) but let me remind you, the award was for the project that LX made, Gao and ZY were with him.
-Gao deleted his weak program and started a new one with LX leading them.
Gao could easily find other chances to go abraod but no, he had to blame LX (who apologised for Gao's sake bc he didnt want to cause any problems).
-Gao deleted the video that could prove that Fang was cheating but no, he deleted it bc he was jealous of LX!!!!!!!
Also, LX and ZY were wrong to Gao when they had the issue with Blue Crown app. One sold it and one got it back without consulting him. Thats where i blame LX and ZY.
Other than that, Gao is jealous from day1. - he wanted to see how the top scorer was really a genuis programmer or not, and lol he couldnt even remove the virus without LX's guide.
-was mad that ppl joined LX's base not his boring interest group. LX's group offered more perks, so ofc people would join. Thats LX's first successful job (in our eyes idk about the past)
-He was overconfident. He was embarrassed bc LX saved him his ass at the bidding presentation. LX told them to re write the code but he persuaded ZY who is indecisive to tell LX their work is good. And then, he blew everything. LX was the one who got the bidding for the school from the start .
-he told Fang about LiLan (smh) and then acted innocent in front of LX and ZY at the funeral. He knew LX wouldbt stay silent and provoked him to deal with Fang. His evil smile at the stands show everything.
-Jealous that his crush liked LX !!
In short (lol), LX destoryed Gao's overconfidence. Gao hated that LX was always right and his chance to make LX lower his head is the apology to Gao and still, LX didnt do that.
Gao stole LX's shares and sold his hard work at medical software. He got no sympathy from me. He made the name L&P into some copying ganes company. His goal was just to make money, from the shares he STOLE from LX !!! The only moment he got to do better than LX was when LX was in prison.
I wouldve preferred more sweet LX and ZY moments instead. But ugh LX and ZY are good people who forgave him at the end.

Just like the rain scene, in ep1 she walked into the rain without an umbrella after leaving RenDi's house and he saw that so when they started to work together, he gave her an umbrella when it was raining.
