I started it today. The FL's acting is weak at some points but its not annoying me yet lol. I heard so many good things about it so i will watch and judge by myself ;]

College Cdramas are usually not that good.
I do like "Put Your head on my shoulder" and Forever Love. Also To Fly with You (same ML as forever love).

A love so beautiful and Our Secret were cute high school/ college dramas.

The 2nd part was so good imo. The FL was shining in it. She was loyal to her "king". Staying with him despite everything bc she believed in him.

Someone once pointed that ZY made them realise that staying patiently with your beloved ones could be as strong and brave as leaving them. I do believe she stayed with him bc she was with him before he went to jail for 3 years. They didnt show the details in their relationship during the whole 3 years but clearly he was good with her enough to make her stay with him for that long.

She isnt stupid, she was the best in her class. She wasnt a stupid in love that she got depressed bc she lost her lover. She was depressed bc she couldnt save him from his demons in the right time.

He didnt make her leave her parents. He even told her mother that ZY was brave enough to change the world and told ZY that they have lifetime to convince them. He didnt force her to be with him and sacrifice her happiness.

Why do we clap when males do "love sacrifices" and call women "weak or love puppy" when they fight for their loved ones?

With this drama, its either you like it or dislike it. If you are struggling maybe its not for you.

Its a slow burn. Starting from present day and go back to their past to explain what led him to jail. They slowly build their relationship with them connecting slowly yet strongly. Its based on a novel of two parts. Their college days (p1) and their revenge in the present (p2).
If they didnt show their past events clearly, you wouldnt understand why the FL stays by his side even after going to prison.

After watching for the nth time, i think he def fell first and she fell harder. (Then both loved each other so much 😭)

1. He was "nice" to walk "in front of her" to reach her dorm in ep3 bc it was late after talking with the teacher. Idt he would do that if it was someone else.

2.He always says "silly girl" when he is amused by her. So in ep4, he smiled at her and said these words +covering her with his jacket.

3. The "confession" at the crosstalk was "semi-real". I bet he would be with her if she didnt deny her feelings and say he was a guest. They always play "fallin you" at romantic scenes so this def was one of them.

4. The beating heart was for her to see and no one can convince me otherwise 😭😭.

5. In the hot springs scene. She said he looked at her the same way he looked her years ago, when she asked for hw in their freshman year. And he in ep27 mentioned how she ate his meal to get his attention (she didnt do that on purpose) but that def made an impression on him bc he remembered that.

Lemme say i LOVE your input about the drama. Wow. My fav parts are:

"It was my first time seeing a fl character in Chinese drama that was portrayed as innocent, delicate yet strong and independent. Maybe i should stop and find sonething to distract me. I want to watch Some Day or one day or Shining for one thing but ive been delaying bc iam afraid theyd have angst 😔 .. maybe i should start with the latter then the former .. by then AOS would be over (and idk if my L&P withdrawls will be gone by then lol)

I had Alchemy of souls on hold bc i was waiting for p2 to binge watch all parts. I couldnt resist so i started p1 and i love it so much. I am mad at myself for starting it while p2 is airing. 😭

I cant find any interesting cdramas now. Maybe the new dylan wang drama or wait til 2023.

Iqiyi rarely disappointed me this year so i will give this a try

She should love herself. After that egg scene, i wouldnt be with such person.

Havent seen Shining for one thing yet but i am planning to do so.
Maybe bc LLTG is truly a slow burn but its def worth the time.
I remember many people in comments below mentioning how they love LLTG and recommend it.

It was shown in the first ep when they were remembering their past at uni. It was cut from the eps tho.

No no. He fell for her courage and brain. She had the courage to tell who was at fault despite being from her family and was smart to point out where he was hiding exactly.

LLTG is one of the best dramas. The romance is mostly in the 2nd part. It starts with how they met and how their relationship was built. It is really good. LW is such a great actor!

Exactly!!! ZT was accepting the criticism and feedback and used it to get better.
GJH was just bitter from start to end.

I am so glad that BL managed to build up a big fandom. She was a victim of XK fans back when their dramas aired and barely had fans to defend her.
