I feel like I am too late to really join the discussion here since most are done already. But I am a slowpoke and my brain no longer feels like binge watching. I will get to the end eventually.

I don't have any issues at all with this show to be honest, I find it very enjoyable xD Sometimes these little things just makes my brain go round and round.
I always feel paranoid when there is a advertising episode in a crimeshow where they try to figure out how to manipulate us into buying stuff through brainwashing.

I don't find it out of character for her to think that way :) And it's anther plot point basically with her wanting to go home again. I just find it difficult as I keep repeated she was almost killed the first time she tried to explain, so I am wondering why she thinks it will be different a second time.
After she overheard Changhengs conversation with the emperor she did believe he meant what he said, so I feel like she should be able to understand that going back to explain won't work.
Still like her ofc.

I am glad you gave this a chance! I am on episode 12 of LBFAD and surprised at how much I enjoy it as xianxia is usually not a genre I enjoy.
