Well since they have changed quit a lot from the novel the ending might seem out of place.
Bai Feng Xi prefers living a free life and not being in a ruler ship position. In the novel they do not get married and only have a "promise ceremony" which HFX uses to injure the King, whom later dies from this. Although she cares for HFX there are many things that he have done, that makes it difficult for her to reconcile with.
So at the last battle she has lost some of her favored generals, which she trained herself, so she does a risky thing and Huang Chao ends up shooting her with an arrow. HFX when he realizes she will die does something, that has until then been out of character, to transfer his own life for hers. This leaves him with about 3 months left to live. BFX in the novel have a friend with healing powers, who feel moved by HFX action and so he saves him by giving him more years to live.
They then take the imperial city and therefor beats Huang Chao in the race to become the ruler of the world. Although they both love each other BFX would rather be an ordinary woman and not be a ruler so she leaves him. HFX is sad ofc and keeps cursing her out. He has a meeting with Huang Chao playing chess at the top of the world and they talk about something we never really learn of.
A few days later BFX returns and decides to kidnap HFX to be her husband, and now after having had some time to realize he would rather be with her he join her in the martial arts world instead.
In the novel HFX is much more morally dark then he is in the drama and his only goal was to rule the world. But then when he gets it he figure out that being alone is not so great after all and so when she comes back he join her.
My belief is since they changed his character so much the ending seem much more out of place. Also since the drama make it seem like BFX is happy enough being married to him and ruling.
someone please explain to me what the relationship between qian an and the emperor is.. im lost here!
You mean the Empress?
Well the Empress was from a family with resources and so when the Emperor was trying to unify the land, he married her so that her clan would assist in the war. It was a political marriage, since the Emperor was in love with Consort Yue even back then.
So the Empress is basically the third wheel in the relationship, even though she technically has higher status, because although the Emperor respects and care for her he has always loved Consort Yue.
Some positive review for drama🤣🤣http://koalasplayground.com/2022/08/14/han-dynasty-c-drama-love-like-the-galaxy-with-wu-lei-and-zhao-lu-si-is-on-track-to-be-my-favorite-drama-of-2022/
How is the love story on both parts? Slow burn? And are there any love triangles or unnecessary misunderstandings?
It's very slow burn. The FL has 3 relationships at different times in her life. So there will be a love square, though it's not very obvious at all times. Misunderstandings happen due to lack of communication but I would not say that they happen very often.
I just want to get this off my chest. I love LBY so much!! I don’t care if I get drag for being a LBY apologist,…
I think that there is a difference with excusing someones behavior, that is morally wrong etc, and loving a character despite their flaws :) Ling Buyi is a great character, but that does not mean I agree with everything he does. Still love him though.
I believe it depends on whether or not they have finished whatever other big drama they had planned next. I won't be buying it if it happens ^^ Feel it's shitty not to be able to watch it on a big screen xD Also don't want it to end faster.
As a novel reader I like the last 10 episodes because they are closer to the novel plot compared to the rest xD
The novel has basically no palace schemes and focuses more on the war compared to thd drama. So there is more fighting in there for sure. I have not really read any pure wuxia novels so I cannot say how it compares to others.
