Thanks for giving me some info :) I started to watch it when it premiered and thought that the CGI looked great, but Xianxia as I said is a genre I always have trouble with. I happen to like both the actors which is why I was surprised when I read an article with complaints about it. I had no idea you could find the financial profit records somewhere so I guess that is the reason why then they want a sequel.

At the time of it airing I felt like it seemed to be more popular internationally compared to in China, so I made an assumption that it was not a fan favorite. Without this data that you wrote I just thought it was a strange drama to make a sequel from when tencet does have bigger hits.

Good question. But in the novel she is a timetraveler, and older, so she might be more comfortable taking risks like that. I think in the drama it showed that Shao Shang trusts Ling Buyi enough to know he won't let something happen.

The 300+ millions was on the official tencent channel from China, so not the same as wetv :) But so far we have not had a day on that channel going over 300 mil again.

Wetv does not have the same amount of views as the official tencent china channel but we can hope :D Lusi has quite a lot of international viewers.

Yes but I was just saying that most of the drama has nothing to do with the novel, so I was happy that some things that actually happened in the book occurred. Which is why I did not really feel let down like some others did. I take what I can get xD

As a novel reader I like the last 10 episodes because they are closer to the novel plot compared to the rest xD

WRTW is more about the male lead and has more palace schemes compared to LLTG. LLTG is also a slowburn romance biggest difference is where WRTW focuses mostly on the ML growth this focus on the FL. LLTG is also more about the ensemble cast as a whole instead of just focusing of the main leads. I love both projects for different reasons.
LLTG has a better script I would say due to the author of the OG novel acting as a consultant.
