The cinematography at the Lantern Festival top notch. I enjoyed the introduction of our other male leads as well. Something I have been thinking is that this director does not introduce a characters entire face in the first shot. It's a body part or the back of their head and then the camera moves. I really like this choice.

I enjoyed today's episodes more then yesterday. Lots of sweet moments, but also sad moments. Ling Buyi being absolutely clear on his opinions is a thumbs up from me, I hate it when people skirt around what they mean and lead people on when it comes to relationships.
And the instrumental music :O I reaaaaally like it and can't wait for it to be released.

I get where the mom is coming from but I wouldn't like her if it was my own mom to be sure. But Shao Shang is a kid so I guess if they do a good character development she will learn to understand her mother later.

I sort of compare her a little to the parents who send their kids to military school in modern day because they 'misbehave' and needs straightening out. I do believe she loves Niao Niao but she is showing it in the wrong way. When you have been abused all your life you don't need more pushback from your family, you need some love and care.
