Same here as well. Most people go into this expecting something and end up disappointed because "no adrenaline, no mature plot line". People go into this expecting something like Goblin when it's an entire different genre. BoH is a rom com that doesn't take itself too seriously yet manages to deliver a more realistic depiction of characters than most other dramas. There is no bad guy because story needs a bad guy... The story here makes you question who is really the bad guy and at the end you realize how the depicted bad guy is actually a freaking great guy that is misunderstood. It also addresses how people are not to blame for the mistakes they did not make. Most people who watch kdramas are somewhat close minded shows with huge male and female leads will always get a high score even if the story is pure garbage. instead of watching with no expectations they're always looking for something specific and end up hating this really fun kdrama. it's by no means the best drama ever but it's definitely underrated by those people who got butthurt because they couldn't find what they are looking for.
Well you're not wrong but you got the entire idea wrong lol. Bride of Habaek is a romantic comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. It does not offer much adrenaline but it offers a heck ton more laughing gas. lots of people go into it expecting something and after not finding that something they start hating on it. 100% an underrated rom-com because of this
