Not that bad? Sometimes you can't even understand what they are saying, LOL. But I ended up watching it since it was a decent drama.

They probably added that scene to downplay their relationship. Even in the drama, they are very ambiguous. They give you that "we are dating" vibe.

I don't consider his love to be the purest. In fact, I don't think Xiao Yao actually loves him. I think what she likes is that he is "nice" to her. After all, she struggled so much throughout her life, and he was the first person to be genuinely kind to her.

He really does not put her first. If he had, he would have stood up to Grandma. He would have fought for their love. But all he did was bow down to Grandma, accept whatever she told him, and then go crying and begging in front of Xiao Yao because once again, he did something to hurt her.


Xiang Liu: A lot of people say he is toxic, but I disagree. And I agree with you. Out of all the MLs, he had the purest love for her. He was always there for her and never asked for anything in exchange.

Xiyan Cang Xuan: I think that, underneath it all, he only loves her as a sister. He is driven by strong obsession to protect her and give her a happy life. Personally, I think he mistakes his brotherly love as romantic love.
