I recently saw "Rookie Agent Rogue” not sure if that one counts as Republican, but it has the same premise of spies. It was a happy ending, well at least for the main cp it was. I swear with these dramas people drop like flies, and you never know who will make it or if any will. For me, at least, open and/or ambiguous endings leave me feeling like I waste so many hours for something that was basically left incomplete. Tho, I do agree that an open ending is 5x better than a sad one.

Her parents were traitors, they were giving out information. People were getting killed because of them. Manna's whole family died because they were siding with the Japanese while selling out their own people. Manna also turned to the other side and had innocent blood on her hands. She couldn't have a better ending because of the road she chose. From the beginning, she dug her own grave .
