So the male lead in this show is a fictional character. The actor playing him is an actual human. You don't have to like his acting or watch his shows. The Chinese entertainment industry does tend to put actors into niches where they play the same types of roles repeatedly, so you are right to look for assurances about other shows he will be in before watching them. If you do want to explore this actor more to see if he plays other types of roles, try his more modern shows (especially The Best Thing) and he's delightful in the reality show he did called The Truth.

What? No. We can also judge people by the quality of their apologies. There have been some excellent explanations of the key elements of a good apology in this sort of moment: You learn what the impact of your comment has been and self reflect before you talk; then you directly address that what you did was wrong and that you understand why; you should also acknowledge that your comment caused/perpetuated harm to people whose lives matter and you would not like to harm again; your apology might include plans for restitution; and finally it definitely includes steps that you will take to change something in your behavior or outlook so that you will be less likely to cause similar harm again. There are all important elements to the process one should go through.

And, no, people are not automatically entitled to forgiveness just because they produce an apology - even a very good one. The process of making the apology is part of the process of self-improvement that helps people to grow and become better people. It's part of that whole learning to love your neighbor thing. You don't just say you love them and magically it happens - you have to care about the things they care about and care when they are harmed and want to learn how to harm them less.

The grace comes in allowing him time to realize that he has made a mistake, learn how to make a more meaningful apology, and hoping he learns from the pushback to think more carefully about his biases. Telling him that he was wrong IS giving him grace because that gives him a chance to learn and grow. Even children get corrected and expected to learn. Adults continue that journey while also taking responsibility for the harm their carelessness causes. Please give him the grace to learn responsibly.

Hah. Someone replied and told me to "just watch porn then" and then deleted their comment.

Here was my reply: Some times I do. Honestly, I enjoy the whole range from wholesome to smut, and I will probably enjoy the show however it comes out. But the advertising seems NC slanted, so I'm excited about that for this show. I love that there are so many shows of so many different types that no one preference has to be catered to by every show and we still all have plenty to watch.

I am totally hoping they just focus on the NC. And character development through NC scenes. I appreciated the dedication My Stubborn had to minimizing the plot. But I am hoping for at least one omegaverse story that doesn't feel the need to throw in an enigma.

Beautiful movie. Loved the cinematography. Loved the tactile and visual relationship with the poetry and maps. But gosh I am so tired of a whole universe dedicated to processing man feelings.
