I also agree that males tend to overlook certain instances for those exact reasons. Yes, some of them may enjoy advances but others don’t and society makes it difficult for those to speak up. I never said My Mister was a romance drama. And though their relationship was platonic, they were still emotionally involved and most definitely had romantic feelings towards each other. Ji an made verbal confession and Dong Hoon’s actions clearly showcased his feelings though he held himself back.

I like your emphasis on “personal” because again it is clearly up to the person whether or not the act was sexual assault (even if nonconsensual). And clearly the character didn’t view her kiss as sexual assault. You see this in his body language and actions afterwards (not pressing charges, etc). Also, at the time my husband tried to kiss me, we had literally just met. So technically he was still a stranger. My husband was promiscuous before meeting me so I took it as him incorrectly judging my character and making an irrational/inconsiderate decision. My husband was used to randomly making out with girls he’d met. But he quickly learned that I was definitely more reserved (had our first kiss 3 months after we started dating lol). Even though I don’t encourage promiscuity, I certainly don’t place judgement on those who are promiscuous. If people want to makeout with random strangers in a club, at a bar, etc. than that’s their right. Just like it’s also the right of a person to decide whether or not an act committed against them was sexual assault. I also want to point out that kisses aren’t the only form of sexual assault. Any unwarranted bodily contact can be sexual assault. Even a random hug from a fan, if the artist felt sexually assaulted he/she could press charges. But artists ultimately decide for themselves what they feel is inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. I can’t imagine my husband being locked up for sexual assault because of how other people viewed his actions. I’m glad I was able decide how I felt about his actions, otherwise we wouldn’t be married today :)

I don’t understand how people have issues with Kim Yoo Jung and Ji Chang Wook age difference but had no issues with an underage Yeon Jin Goo (then 19) playing opposite of Lee Yun Hee (then 29) in Reunited Worlds or the age differences in Goblin, My Mister, etc etc. As for the kiss in episode 1, yes it was non consensual... just like the kiss in Itaewon Class when Yi Seo kissed an unconscious Sae Ro Yi (which she never confessed to him about)... or the many other nonconsensual kisses in both dramas and real life. And just because something is nonconsensual, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s automatically sexual assault. My now husband tried to kiss me before we started dating and I pushed him away. Never once did I feel like he sexually assaulted me. And the moment I pushed him away, he apologized and ultimately never made a move again... which led to me having to make the first move when we did start dating lol. I do agree that there are many flaws in the drama but honestly there isn’t one film/show (American/International) that hasn’t offended someone or that doesn’t have any criticisms. As for Eum Moon Suk’s character, yes I do think it was a tasteless and offensive idea. I also wish they would’ve changed the characters style or replaced the actor with someone more befitting for the role such as Skull (Korean Reggae artist) or an actual Rastafarian/Jamaican (fyi not all Rastafarians have dreadlocks just like not all Jamaicans practice Rastafarianism so don’t misconstrue my words). The violence throughout the drama can also be discussed as well but I won’t continue further because I think I’ve made my point clear by now. And if you don’t understand, I’ll reiterate for in simple terms... I personally don’t take any fictional dramas seriously while viewing them. I also do the same for fictional cartoons (Avatar the Last Airbender), tv shows (Teen Wolf), movies (Twilight), anime (Naruto), etc. Imagine the world we’d live in if everyone actually imitated what they saw on television lol.

I really can’t see no other actor playing that role as well as he did! I’d like to see him in more outgoing roles like that one.

I’ll try Love O2O I did see the movie version and I liked it. Somehow I just never got around to the drama. As for Boss and Me I tried watching it a while back but honestly the FL’s eyebrows were a bit distracting (I pay attention to details too much lol) and her acting was a bit too timid. I think I saw 2-3 eps. Maybe I’ll pick it back up. And honestly I can appreciate a FL being smitten but I’m not too fond on middle school type crushes (completely head over heals, unreserved, too shy, etc). I loved the FL in Fox’s Summer, Somewhere Only We Know, and ale Coup de Foudre

Saw it as soon as it was a viable on Netflix! I also saw the original Taiwanese version and the Korean version. I’d love to see another remake as well.

So far I’m enjoying the drama, including all of its outlandishness. However, there’s one thing that irks me... Why is there not one moral/patriotic person in the blue house that we can root for? It leaves me no hope and makes it difficult to believe that the immense corruption can be overturned

Live was incredible. I’ve already rewatched it 3x’s. I really miss the crew and I hope they come back with another season... it’s so deserving.

I totally agree with the first part. Especially how easily she puts her own life at risk for a man who is intentionally keeping her close so that he can stay alive (obviously I know he’s changing now but in the beginning his intentions were impure). There’s definitely a distinct difference between being selfless and foolish. Eul Soon is just bent on being foolish. As for Sung Joong, I actually like his character. It’s nice to have one rational character amongst a bunch of irrational ones lol.
