Is this show for the male gaze or the female gaze? From the storyline it seems like it is for the male gaze but it is in the same universe as two other shows for the female gaze

Mongol attacking Song is a real historical event. 1) Jin and Song were enemies, Mongols and Song were enemies. Thus, the enemy of your enemy is your friend so they allied against Jin. However, when Jin fell, the alliance is over and Mongol wanted to take Song land too.
This trilogy is so gd that they remake it every few years. This is my 3rd time watching this story. Hopefully, the new generation will enjoy it as much as I did the first time. This year version of the story is one of the best.
Stories are written targeting certain demographics. Young audience, mature audience, men, women, everyone. I am just asking if the story is targeted solely at women.

the first time i watch it, i drop it half way. However, the second time i watch it again and realized the best part is the at the second half, the ending especially
