Super Cute Vampire BL

I placed spoilers at the end of this review.

Vampire movies/series usually head into two different directions. It can either go the dark, moody, and creepy route or the tongue-in-check, funny, and cute route. If you are looking for the first version, you should probably skip this series.

Overall, this was such a fun, lighthearted, and cut series. They did a great job creating an interesting storyline and making you care about all of the characters. The script was perfect in giving just the right amount of information without getting to bogged down with details. However, I do have a few small critiques. I thought the pacing was perfect considering the number of episodes. For the most part, they use the screentime very effectively. There were only a few times they used unnecessary flashback or filler scenes. The actors did a great job making their characters relatable and very likable, especially the vampire characters which is not an easy task. I would not have guessed they were new to the field.

Random Notes:

This is one example why I enjoy Korean BL series with shorter screen times and small episode count.

The opening credits was very cool.

The location interior used for their house was also use in the series “Oh! My Boarding House”. However, it seems they used a different location for the exterior.

******Potential Spoiler Alert******

Although I understand the time constraints, I would have loved a tad more about the vampire world in this series. I also would have loved a more defined ending for the second couple.

I’m not a fan of love triangles, but it was actually well written and was not the main focal point of the series.
