what a waste of time...... editing was horrible, writing was not tight enough and all over the place.... source material is strong and story had so much potential but execution was muddling.
Good start but way too long and fell of a cliff particularly in the second half. the drama could have been half the length it was and still tell the same story.
I'm really loving the show, its different from Season 1 (less about revenge/politicking, more about family/war/wuxia) but also has the same majestic vibe that differentiates NiF from all the rest of the historical dramas out there. I really like Huang Xiaoming in this, he pulls of the elder brother role really well. Also Liu Haoren is doing a good job being the contrast to HXM's serious character, and he's already showing the character development that we expected. Think he's going to be a star.
AMAZING. Lee Jehoon and Kim Hyesu are reliable in anything, but with the Director of Misaeng this drama has everything. First episode was like a movie.
Am I the only one unimpressed by Seungho's acting? Actually I find it to be very, veeeeery poor.
Wow! We are complete opposites. I love Seungho's acting here but absolutely hated Jongsuk in Pinocchio (he was a glaring weak link). To me he's a weak actor, especially in Doctor Stranger (though that show had numerous problems).
I enjoyed this more than the Korean version, mainly because I actually understood the history (Han dynasty) behind the Chinese version and also because JING BO-RAN.
The ending was poorly executed though and I found Zheng Shuang more and more annoying as the drama progressed.
Why Seo Kang Joon? WHY WHY WHY It's a mistake right? Gah he can't act at all. Hwajung was ruined because of him…
Hwajung was ruined because of Lee Yeon Hee. Cha Seungwon was the only great actor in that mess and I thought Seo Kang joon was one of the better actors there.

Punch is probably my favourite, but that is more political/serious than the dramas @Bongsookie seems to like.
They probably will have decent chemistry going of the show they did together; but not really looking forward to this show...
