I don’t trust IMDB reviews much because of the ridiculousness of some of the ratings… I've seen some low ratings based simply on lack of access to a series. Like how is that the fault of the drama?!

Exactly!!! I was thinking, seriously?! And he just walks up out of no where? Please. I still gave it a generous rating but I’ll not watch it again.

There were more annoying stupid holes in the plot. I did finish it though… The ending created a lot of questions for me, too. It was entertaining but not a “clean” storyline.

Episode 15: Where are the royal guards??? Seriously, everyone gets rescued? SO dumb.

Just finished this evening. Where was he for three years? He was in a coma? Who saved his body? I wanted to see more character development for the Mad King. The Queen was useless, boring. I loved Officer Jang. Please do a lead role soon.

Overall, it’s been enjoyable but definitely some annoying parts. Romance was boring for me. Sweet and all but it did nothing for me.

Hands down, an amazing story. Yes; I loved the drunken poetry reciting scene. LMAO now just thinking about it. Even something as simple as a chicken leg. I think of the ML holding it as he meets his family for the first time!!! I can go on and on. And he saves it in a little cute box!!!

There was subtle humor throughout and there was also plain in your face silliness. Just adorable!!! The nuances in his expression, sometimes so childlike but so masculine when he fights as he’s such a bad ass. Recall the overtop flag on the wagon scene? Like seriously? He’s always asking for it but has the confidence to back it up. Pure genius, this story. I challenge anyone to give this drama a chance and see if they don’t fall in love with it.

Thank you, Sassy. No rush. I understand you were trying to highlight different relationships that are positive and healthy. Here I go recommending toxic and obsessive romances. As much as I adore the sweet, cute, "safe" love, there is something exciting about dark, twisted, imperfect love.

I know! The world is going to shits. Everywhere! Not to mention how much we neglect/abuse Earth. I truly hope humanity can ultimately redeem itself to be worthy of having a place in history… Oh, the tragedy! In the meantime, I’ll just find time to keep on going and watch drama. Lol. Yeah; “weak romances” can be boring for me, too. I prefer some angst, rivalry, and heartbreaks. I might try it though. I did enjoy The Rational Life but that’s because the theme/plot was interesting enough. I do get bored easily.

I’ve learned to question humanity awhile back. I just have seen/know too much. Blame my work. But I’m still hoping that the universe will balance everything and karma prevails in the end for the sake of justice.

Was just going down different rabbit holes. Found this. Read some comments below. Sad that this will never air. I “forgive” China’s government for a lot of things but, seriously, this one is petty. Don’t get me started on human rights, political injustices, etc. I’ve become too reliant on China for my drama entertainment… I’m half Chinese so let me rant… I just can’t quit even though I know China’s government is involved in many evil doings.

I thought it was an adorable aspect of her personality. I’m a huge K-pop/rap fan and I could totally see myself being a groupie. It’s silly, though. I’m on episode 6

Confused: how did Director Gold figure out that “road to si-an” was Ms. Sung? What was the evidence that confirmed this? I never saw the buildup to any suspicions. Did I miss it???
