I'm grateful for the bootiful & motivating comment. Thank YOU for your discerning input. As someone who essentially…
Ahhhh, the social construct of "sappy." Sappy is overly sweet and sentimental but I think it is also considered silly, lacking good sense. No wonder men shy away from more romantically themed dramas. They would not want to be caught enjoying anything that might question their manhood! Silly men...

I've learned so much. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
I've always loved these themes/genres. Never knew what they were called specifically.
I wonder how our world would be if we all truly believed in the powers of cultivation.
Any cultivation masters out there giving lessons? :-)

In the end, it is the strongest attachment based on companionate love, that keeps two partners together for life... In a perfect world, everyone would be mindful to balance the pros/cons of staying with someone vs. leaving. It would have been ideal had she taken a more linear approach but sometimes it does not happen that way. That's why I love dramas. You can see various ways things are portrayed from the perspective of the story teller/director. We may not all agree; thus, these various discussions. I love dramas for the various ways the human experience can be portrayed. Happy Viewing, my friend.

Disney ain't got nothin' on KDrama. LMAO!!!
Love your reference to F4! Adorable... Sweet memories of early KDrama viewing came flooding back to me. I was such a KDrama virgin back then. Also, those graphs really puts things totally into perspective! Seriously, the zig zag... ROTFL!!!
Alright. I'm sold. I will check out this series next.

Do you have a chance? what you are sad about?
I love the straight forward reality check comment, "Do you have a chance?" LMAO!!!

I'm dreaming all of the time for very slim chances.

YES! Now I remember. She definitely alerted all this senses. But, I don't believe he desired/longed for her. That was a great scene, btw. Did you finish the drama or drop it?
Sigh... I'm getting bored of my Under The Power drama at the moment... I hate how some dramas seem to reach a plateau and then drag on and on... Reviews are promising for it so I am going to keep going.

Dropped this at ep 5... They were cute but i just couldnt stand the cheating. And nope no one can justify to me…
I have not watched the drama but was going down a rabbit hole in drama land and here is where I am. I know your comment was a month ago but I wanted to share that I appreciated the dialogue here. Emotional cheating is still cheating and can be even more heartbreaking sometimes. Also, too often, folks do linger on and wait around until something "better comes along." It is such a loss for both parties involved to remain in a relationship that has met it's demise. I hope our society could show more courage and have the strength to let things go when it is clearly over and neither party benefits anymore. Lastly, your comment about pitchforks is interesting as we do have a tendency to have different standards for men/women. In more recent history, we definitely have more negative views of men cheating. But, recall, from the beginning of time, men can have many relationships, wives, so I do wonder if the bf had cheated, we might actually tolerate it more... Whatever the case, cheating is beyond cowardice and there really are no excuses for not being more genuine with yourself and your partner(s).

Brilliant. Loved the read. Thank you for an emotionally intelligent discussion. I loved how you balanced your many rhetorical questions with your insightful comments. Things that make us go "hmmm."

Romance is a stand alone genre, for sure. IMO, at its core, romance is the child borne of of self-love and wholehearted vulnerability to be desired and accepted. If you've watched enough drama, you will recognize that the same themes are recycled over and over (i.e., honor, loyalty, betrayal, redemption, etc.). But, for me, it is romance that keeps the storyline fresh and exciting. I can agree that any of the aforementioned themes can be entertaining, but if it were not for the "romance," and the intricacies and creativities that a story teller weaves together, many of the dramas I have watch would be rather one dimensional, or two, or three. LOL. I just prefer some romance to round out my edges. I think we could all use some romance, some reminders of why we continue to thrive as a human species... Perhaps love is simply for evolutionary reasons? Whatever the case, I dig it. For all its shades of lightness and darkness, love and romance is not going anywhere anytime soon. It is timeless.

I'd love to see more men willing to enjoy a series in which love and romance is the primary theme. Is it not one of our life's goals? To seek love and companionship? Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of when we want to read stories, watch dramas about love. It is one of the most basic tenets that make us human.

Wow, love this. Just finished rewatching the Potter series again over the past few weeks. Still one of my favorites series of all time. Every so often, I re-read and re-watch... I recommend this timeless classic for all ages. It's hard to believe that Radcliffe was only 10 years old or so when he was approached for the Potter role. He's turning 32 in July! I love the casting for the C-drama version. Can this version please happen??? Thank you for your clever idea.

Looking for this theme at the moment. I, too, enjoy the slow burn process. The build up is more natural and exciting when they finally make the love connection. Thank you for starting this discussion and for all the suggestions for readers. :-)

Okay, bromance, I can handle! :-) I loved Mr. Sunshine (Kdrama) and the bromance was extremely entertaining. Thank you, Hana. I will surely give this a chance. The ratings appear to be consistently positive.

Thank you for the laughs... I wanted to see how bad this drama is. But, seriously, the same clothes throughout the entire drama, now that's just too much! Unacceptable... Love your review. Straight up cute. I will pass on this one.

I see this is an adaptation of same sex original work. I confess I've only scanned through a few reviews. But, I was browsing through the pictures... Is this a story about same sex romance? I have no negative opinions regarding personal choices/love interest but I would still prefer a story line with romance between the opposite sex. Perhaps I might still check it out. Thank you.
