lol. I totally understand! I was much annoyed, too, with her arrogance. I think I was annoyed with her till the end. It’s not anything you’re incredibly missing out on if you never return. The two leads are great together but I was definitely annoyed with many things! I’d only recommend it if you really are invested in the leads. Otherwise, pass. As I mentioned in my other message, the plot is really simple. The lesson overall is definitely to question righteousness as even the “good” can fall victim to greed and engage in their self-justified evil deeds.

Omgeee!!! Fuqing love love love this drama!!! Never judge anything by its cover. In this case, my initial lack of interest/attraction for the ML. I’m impressed with his acting and the slow burn attraction/romance throughout the unraveling of the plots made this series extremely worthy of its current rating. I fell in love with the leads. Glad I stuck in there and gave this a chance. Thank you!

I do think the FM bring skittish on various things did not seem appropriate for her role as a forensic examiner. I get that they wanted her to have reasons to cling to the male lead but it almost got a little silly at times. Whatever... If I can believe that people fly and have all these internal energy to recover and resurrect in other dramas, I can believe a forensic examiner can be a little afraid of lightning. It’s still a great drama.

I initially was not drawn to Allen Ren. But, I’m impressed.

No misunderstandings with the leads. Just strange editing with clips at the beginning of each episode. Maybe it was just with Amazon Prime? I had to definitely stay on top of what was going on as it was not always linear. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a tad too long but the two leads definitely were exciting to watch. I mostly stayed for them. The story line was just so-so for me. The Jiang Wu and Qin Qian Xian characters were also nice eye candy! ❤️ Actually, there were many beautiful characters and each were appreciated in their own ways. I’d still recommend this drama.

Took me forever. Just finished. Stayed for the romance, which was decent. Too long. Too much fluff. I didn’t feel very connected with all the characters. On top of all that, I watched it on Amazon prime and the editing was just horrible. I felt entire explanatory scenes were deleted and I had to just assume that somehow things worked out a certain way. There were also times where the entire audio was cut out. If you’ve a lot of time to spare, check it out. The ML/FL are adorable together. In hindsight, I would have watched many other series ahead of this one.

I think W is indicating that those two referenced dramas are popular despite the darker storyline? I haven't seen either of the dramas but I am now curious. My work is rather dark and I see all sides of humanity. It is fascinating what gets people off. We are attracted to/repulsed by different things. As there are many shades of any one color, there are many shades to our deeper, darkest desires. More folks are interested in deviant thoughts/behaviors than we know. In my line of work, there have been many confessions from women about rape fantasies. Go figure!

It is an exceptional world out there and it's okay to explore. But, please be safe. Non consensual sex is NOT okay. It is illegal. Violence against women and children is an area that makes me sick to my core. But, some folks do get off on the aggressive act as it is more about power than sex. My work is to make sense of all this and, trust me, it is multilayered and not for the faint of heart.

LOL! Right, so you know what I mean. Lead actors/actresses are expected to be generally mostly attractive. I watched the trailer and looked at a few still photos and the ML does nothing for me. I mean, I really tried to see something that might be interesting about his features... The FL seems cute. Goodness, this discussion suddenly sounds super shallow!!! LOL Anyway, thank you for your response. I will plan to watch this soon. :-)

Was on the fence about this drama. I know every couple has their own story and it always take two to create a disconnect but if this series somehow justifies/normalizes infidelity, I think I will pass. Thank you for those who endured it and were honest.

Surprisingly, I’m actually enjoying it. I like all the lead characters. So, I never watched any of the previous condor series. I don’t think knowing the backstory makes any difference. So far I’m enjoying it and every scene is pleasing enough visually. The storyline is also enough to keep me engaged. To be honest, the storylines afterwhile seem to be very similar to other historical storylines. Ultimately, it’s the characters, their chemistry together, the side stories, and how everything is intertwined together that makes all the difference. Try it. You can always drop after four episodes.

I’m going to start this. I hope I will like it.

Hmmm, the ML is not my cup of tea in terms of handsomeness. To each their own. Is the story line that captivating that I can get over my lack of excitement for seeing the ML?

Indeed, slower pace at times but everything is well worth it in the end. At its core, it’s a love story about sacrifice. The bromance is delicately weaved in there despite everyone ultimately wanting the same gal. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this drama. Hang in there.
