This was hilarious ! All the fun about BL tropes, the acting of "Mobu" was great and that amazing opening song haha. I wish it was a bit longer, I miss it already.
Well, I guess I will be the odd man out. As far as this series went, I thought it was just o.k. There were things…
I totally agree with you ! I was about to write a comment about some of the things you mentioned, but you did point out most of the stuff that bothered me in this series :) I can only add for the pros that I also liked the funny moments, especially with Gene (love his face reactions), and for the cons there is another thing that bothered me, on top of the childhood thing you talked about (same concern here...), it's the behaviour of Nubsib in the beginning. I found him really creepy and manipulative, and his love for Gene since childhood doesn't excuse anything like that... But well, luckily he became very sweet to his lover and treated him well, cannot complain about that. About Aey, there was so much to do with that complex character, but I was really disappointed that he was finally only used as a "villain". They completely forgot about his characterisation towards the end, he was only shown crying and crying..it made me cringe. Overall, I think it's still a nice show that tries to tackle some of the issues the BL industry has. Even though, I still don't get how some grown-ups still mix up personal life and fiction... (sigh).
After I Told Sunset About You last year, I was really hoping that Thai BL productions will keep up with the same standard, and this show is a proof that it's happening. The cinematography was great, the storyline was nice and novel, the actors were all good, even the kids were very sweet. Phu and Tian had such a nice chemistry, all in the eyes and gestures, and the ending was perfect. I have to add that for a first role for Mix, he was amazingly good and he is just too cute :)
Really nice review that pin-points all the things I was thinking while watching the drama: The parents thing that I still don't get, especially their come back that didn't bring anything to the story. The reincarnations that don't make sense at all, they could at least have waited few years instead of few months. I don't even wanna talk about the ending haha. I also agree that the best chemistry was the bromance of LY and LR :) It was so much more natural and the development of their relashionship while looking back progressively to their past lives was very well done. I would have loved so much the sacrifice of LR to kill Imugi, that would have been the best ending for the character indeed. Anyway, as you said it was still nice to watch but it leaves such a bitter taste... But that's also part of the Dramaworld, and we still love it ^^
Mark is just so sweet, as a friend or a boyfriend. Kim was the only actor I liked in 2 Moons and he confirms it in this show. MarkKit was the best part in the series and it was really disappointing to see them less and less towards the end.... The other stories are a bit too messy and too many to really get into. Cheers to KimCop and their sweet moments !
A complete different level in the thai BL world ! I really loved this series, everything was well done and I hope we will see more shows of this kind :)
After the disappointment of LBC2, I needed something cute and fluffy and it started well enough, but really I didn't feel much chemistry between the characters, a bit better in friendship though. The pace was slow but suddenly things happen without building a proper bond. Like, Itt and Pai and the most unemotional confession ever :o It was awkward.... Was it just me? One positive point was that little touch on AIDS, which is rare enough to be mentioned.
