Sadly, this drama does not what other dramas do: Giving us a simple "1 Year later", "2 Years later", "4 Years later" info. Sang Sang says, she's 16 when they are at her parents' and at one moment, when Ning Que is at the brothel, he tells the owner, he's 18, but that was long before Sang Sang says, she's 16. So, I think, at the time, Ning Que fights Xia Hou, he really is 20 and then, it makes all sense again. Having been around four years old, when he found Sang Sang. The drama changed the ages a bit, I guess for exactly the reason that the characters are old enough to be allowed a proper relationship.
I've watched the series from its first to its last episode. Where does it say Ning Que and Sang Sang ever slept together, so far? They just shared a kiss on the cheek. This series is supposed to run for at least three seasons, so, I dare to make a guess, Sang Sang won't be 14 or 15 anymore when she and Ning Que get married in the end. As for teens sleeping together: If I see and read what 12, 13 and 14 years old girls and boys share in our amazing 21st century and how early they sleep together, nowadays, it seems a bit awkward to talk about rape in a fantasy novel based drama series where there is none of this.
Thinking of the fact that both, Sang Sang and Ning Que, are still supposed to be teens in season one of the series as well as in the novel, how are they supposed to act mature? Teens are not mature, yet, but they can still have romantic feelings.
The typical cliffhanger ending most multi season series end with, especially in Europe and the US. Nothing to worry about when the next season is already in the works.
He should go to Hollywood for a try. I like him from his Fu Hong Xue character who was grown up with revenge,…
I love everything that has Fu Hong Xue and Cui Nong together as they are the lovers in the novel. In the series, they totally destroyed that lovestory and turned Cui Non into an idiot assassin. She's so lovely in the novel. Glaldy, the actress in the series still had great chemistry with Zhu Yi Long.
Somewhat. Only one of the three main plot lines driving the show (imo) was concluded. And there's a major cliffhanger…
That's just my personal opinion. Most dramas with a sequel to come, announce(d) it very quickly after the show ended. It's 1 1/2 years now and no news about PA2 at all... And even if a season two would come, it would not bring back the main lead. Not with Zhao Li Ying expecting a child now and with her having been disappointed with the writing of season one anyway. And I don't think, Dou Xiao and Lin Geng Xin would return without Zhao Li Ying. So, I don't think there will be a season two. Same for "Tribes and Empires" which I mourn even more.
Sadly not. I wished, there would be another link or something, but this is definitely the only suitable link with English subs, I know. I hope, someone will finish it.

I know all this and I ranted about the wrting for season one quite angrily and quite intense several times already in different posts.
What I didn't get was, why being upset about a cliffhanger? I mean, this is neither "Princess Agents" nor is it "Tribes and Empires" where there will never be a season two. For "Ever Night" season two is filming and it's coming either 2019 or 2020 and I guess, we'll get more into detail then. A weak Sang Sang in season one might have been tricking the audience into believeing it - her rising to full power will be way more intense at the time when it's time to happen.

He was great in "Bordertown Prodigal", I agree. Sadly, the writers totally messed up Gu Long's novel, destryoed storylines and lovestories and added so much unnecessary stuff... It's a shame.
If approved by MDL, the new drama entry for Season 2 I submitted should appeared soon.Sorry for the recent absence,…
Happy New Year, to you. Fingers crossed that you'll feel better soon. Typing with an eyepad is straining, I can relate having fought Bell's Palsy over several months, last year, with the left eye still not working 100% by now. Sending over all good wishes for you recovery.
