Did the novel has happy ending?

Oh my. The thing is I just saw an interview with the cast and apparently the translation said she spoiled the ending (?) and it’s not good. That’s why I came here 😭

I think I worded it wrong. She didn’t technically said it was a prequel. She said the only thing that related this drama to Thong Ek is Thong In and the monk. So I guess, even though the two characters are the same, the writer changed the family background too.

I didn’t watch Thong Ek so can anyone explain to me why in Royal Doctor the family is wealthy but in Thong Ek, ThongIn seems poor? I only saw some scenes so I’m assuming he is

I made some research. According to the drama’s setting, current king is King Rama III, so if the prince is actually the crown prince, he supposed to be Rama IV, which the one who married his half siblings. Haha

I’m currently watching the drama and came here for some info only to realize it’s related Thong Ek drama and.. also got to realize Thong In is a boy?? I genuinely thought he’s a girl 😂

I mean.. I read somewhere that before this, the Thai’s royal married their siblings to keep their bloodline pure. So… could it be?? 😭
