Confused on what you want spoiled? Obviously she ends up with the main lead (Kim San Ha), itās not a very deep…
This might sound weird but what type of ālove triangleā? 1- female undecided between the two guys 2- FL and ML love each other and the SML also loves the FL but she doesnāt reciprocate the feelings. š š
Is this worth watching? The ratings are high but the reviews are mixed and a lot more negative.
This is an adult relationship, where egos and pride gets the better of them, or how they fall in a routine that both of them hate, but it keeps the arguments at bay so they go with it and hide behind itā¦. There aren't a lot of kissing scenes, which I believed pissed off a lot of the viewers, but like I said it's a mature relationship.
Is it predictable? Maybe Is it overrated? Maybe Is it worth the watch? Defiantly
Could someone detail the development of romance between the ML and FL, including major romantic moments (As in…
It is a very mature realistic relationship, in the sense that they don't just kiss and make up.
They were madly in love and got married. Tragedy struck a year or so into their marriage and due to lack of communication, they āfell outā of love.
Another year pass, and he wants out. However, He knows it wonāt be a clean and easy divorce, so heās beyond terrified.
On the day he finally built up the courage to give her the divorce papers, she tells him that she has brain cancer and only has three months to live. He hides the divorce papers, hugs her, tells her that he loves her and heāll be there for her in every step of the way⦠Bastard goes back to his room and starts celebrating (have to say I laughed so hard in this scene).
Husbandās best friends tells him that he needs to pamper his dying wife and act all in love, why? To guarantee that she writes him in her will.
A little back story here, (we learn all of this from flashbacks throughout the show)⦠sheās from a very rich family, sheās the head of āQueens Groupāsā department stores. Heās a lawyer from the country side, from a lower working class family. They met in her company, she was an employee there and he didnāt know who she was. He thought she was from a very poor family and tired so hard to help her in anyway possible. She tired multiple times to tell him that sheās not poor, but he would run off before sheād say anything. They date, he proposes, she says yes, he finds out that sheās the heiress of the company he works in, he goes back to the country side to escape reality, she pops in via a helicopter and proposes to him, promises him that sheāll never make him cry (Very important line!) he says yes, they get marriedā¦)
So, him being possessed by greed (even though I assume his payroll is good seeing as he IS the head of the Legal department in Queens Group), anyway, he wants to inherit his dying wife.
And here where things start to get complicated for our Main Lead, because without him realizing, he slowly starts to fall in love with her again (or you could say that he never stopped loving her, he just forgot that he loved). So now heās in a constant battle with himself, denying that any of his actions are genuine, until he finds himself in a flight to Germany to be there for his wife during her doctorās appointments. There, they have their first real kiss in years.
Slowly you start to see them trying, key word here! Trying to trust each other again. And then you donāt see them kiss again, which probably pissed off a LOT of viewers, but thatās what I meant about a mature relationship, it is NOT easy to just start kissing again when they havenāt resolved all of the misunderstandings that accumulated over the years. Basically this is the first 5 episodes of the drama⦠along with my opinion in the end ;)
Worth the rollercoaster of emotions. You will appreciate the ending after realizing that they lived a long life together, and the fact that she dies of old age (I think around 87 years old) and not because of the cancer coming back. Therefore, a very happy ending ^_^
Did anyone notice that thereās a major difference in Netflixās subtitles?! I was rewatching a couple of episodes and it turns out that āEnglish CCā and āEnglishā subtitles are not the same at all! For example, when Hyun Woo jokingly said āshe doesnāt hit meā in the (English CC) he says āitās was out of characterā āShe doesnāt hit meā was the punchline of the whole scene. Why would they change that?
I really miss how the fans used to translate kdramas. They translated exactly what was being said and not an āEnglishā version of it. Even the sayings and superstitions were translated by word, then explained on the top of the screen.
If anyone knows a site where they still offer fan subtitles, please tell meā¦
It took me an entire day to accept the ending and see it for what it was, a truly beautiful happy ending. For they lived a very long and happy life together.
However, the image of the old Hyun Woo, climbing up the stairs, alone in the cold winter shattered my heart into pieces. And to add salt to my wounded heart, Kim Soo Hyun starts singing the final OST of the dramaā¦
So, as long as I donāt remember those lonesome footsteps climbing up the snow covered stairs, I think I can live.
I see some people complaining about the drama showing the couple growing old and hae in dying of old age. Honestly…

Iāll give it a go when Iām in the mood for a psychological drama
