Finished ep 12: This drama is 1/10th I just want to ff through. And 9/10th’s Oh Yeah…Let me get my popcorn 🍿🍿🍿

Just finished ep 26 and I’m feeling a little nervous here 😬😬😬 Richard Li! I blame you! Oh… wait… he’s not even in this mini-drama. 🤣🤣🤣

It’s very interesting to see her persona in the assassin character flashbacks. Def not wishy washy, and gone are the higher register babyish voice speech. So the set up is showing it will be awesome when she gets her memory back!

Yes with Qing Yun!!! Much hotter!

Ep 9 was half sweet 💖💖💖 and half Bwhahahah 🥴🥴🥴 🍷🍷🍷

I’m officially shaking my fist at whoever decided to only drop one 20 minute episode per day. Just you wait until my therapist hear’s about this. 🤣🤣🤣

Makes me want to do a Love O2O rewatch 👍👍👍

Finished 8 episodes, the OTT slapstick silliness has almost all but disappeared. 🥳🥳🥳Yes, there is comedy. But if you dropped it bc you were disappointed in the slapstick elements in the first couple of episodes … keep going! It is an entertaining watch. 👍👍👍

BTW Really enjoyed your Joy of Life editorial! 👍👍👍

Overall Impression: Plot is actually pretty good, leads are great. Now if they continue toning down some of the OTT slapstick silliness 🤪 from the earlier episodes - it might end up being a solid drama.

MDL had a different synopsis up yesterday. But they had the genders switched so they took it down. But here it is. I corrected for the genders and names “The story follows Jin Bai Wan a top assassin in the martial arts world who loses her memory and becomes a humble cook. She later meets the extraordinarily cunning and scheming qin master Qu Zheng. Despite countless trials and tribulations they eventually come to understand each other’s true feelings and decide to join forces to defeat evil and reaffirm justice.” Don’t know the accuracy since I’m only on ep 3. But FL did lose her memory, was a cook and ML is a cunning fox (smarts-wise not an actual animal) that does carry a qin everywhere he goes as well. 😊

The ML. But he isn’t an actual fox. The FL said to him that he is “cunning like a fox” 🦊

BTW… I’m watching this on IQIYI to avoid the rather creative license Mango sometimes uses in their sub-title interpretations. 🤣🤣🤣

Okkkaaayyyy….So the posted synopsis is incorrect. Watching First 5 minutes of the drama and it’s the FL who loses HER memory 5 years ago and is a humble cook. I was originally thinking she would be a great match for the assassin turned cook who loses “his” memory per posted synopsis, bc the actress did great in the fighting scenes from Sword & Fairy 1. Cool- this FL will totally be able to pull off being an assassin 👍👍👍

A Journey to Love or A Journey to Death as some like to call it instead ☠️

This assassin turned cook better have a much happier ending than … cough… cough… that other assassin turned cook ML drama. 🤣🤣🤣

Just found out from another watcher that this is FZX’s voice used in the drama and he also sings the theme song “Moon” for this drama as well. 🎶🎶🎶

That I know just by looking at the picture. It’s the drama called Destined. Really good watch btw

You know I am a glass half full kind of person and I thought the 2FL WAS ACTUALLY visiting the leads and the child they had… until everyone told me THEY WERE ALL DEAD ☠️ ☠️☠️ Did I ever misunderstand that ending 🤣🤣🤣 Really too bad bc it would have been tied with Joy of Life being my all time favorite

Holy tomatoes 🍅 ! He’s only 25! My Lethal Man was the one that sealed the deal for me with him and he must have been only 23ish while filming. Agree FZX was absolutely fabulous in Present, Is Present. The other actor I was also truly shocked with age and their already seasoned on screen presence is Wang Xing Yue.
