The standout performance for me was merxat as gu qi shao. The sweetest scenes was the wedding of tang li and ning jing. The wtf moment was when the squirrel looking animal all of a sudden spoke. Out of the 2 endings i probably found the sad one more appropriate but thats just me. But most importantly i can’t believe i saw ass in a chinese drama!!!

Great ending. This is how endings should be! I was more emotional at the princess’ death than I thought I would be. All those commenters who foresaw wen you’s death were on point. Such a tragic character *sigh*.

I can read some but can’t really write. I don’t have iqiyi vip so watched it raw on another site. Perhaps i will watch it again later with subs. But too many other dramas to watch heh.

Yes it was strange that there was no more story for xiang ding when he was more nicer to JJ and they focused more on the couple instead.

The ending is so sweet ?. Bai Lu is so pretty in this. I am amazed how smooth and shiny her hair was. I’m a bit slow and only realised there was something funny with their names yuan shuai and jiang jun in the last episode. Can someone explain what was the significance of the name of the girl du lei was talking to?

This is the 4th show i’ve watched Alan Yu in after TMOPB, new legend of white snake and a love last two minds and i’m glad his acting has improved! But also because i think he has better chemistry with Fair Xing. I’m looking forward to the last 8 episodes!

I don’t agree. At first I couldn’t think why I didn’t agree exactly because you have a point. After some thought I think because this is not solely a romance drama and is so much more. It deals with family, friends and work issues too. The writing has been great so far in my opinion but I will reserve judgement until the end of the series as I’ve watched some horrible endings recently so just hope this won’t be another case.
Also I just generally dislike avenuex’s reviews. Don’t get me wrong I like her other educational videos just not her reviews which I find just too much ranting recently. I need more positive energy right now.

Yes he hasn’t tried to distance jj from her friends or anything so he’s not so bad. I think Jj understands he really loves her and that his dependency on her is not the only reason for marriage. It’s not romantic but great that the drama is dealing with such tough situations/topics.

Some youtube commentators said hzq will end up with xcz i don’t know what their sources are but i hope its not true. I am ok with hzq not having a love line and just getting the family he deserves.

You are such an optimist! I don’t have your optimism for a happy ending for everyone but I’m hopeful. Right now I’m thinking that jj will refuse lx’s proposal because she feels that his love is not healthy and he needs to get better first or something.

It was changed to 47 for some reason and now its back to 40. I hope its 40 and finishes on 2nd sep. Just hoping for a happy ending!
