Another one here that someone rated before it even started!
Didn't you know that some people on this site can see into the future? I mean there's no other explanation. It's not like you rate a drama before watching it - that's just ridiculous. The same goes for Jade lovers. 5 people rated it 10 so it must be true. Really looking forward to that one. :)
Normally, the naive female roles both bore and annoys me. You can just see all the misunderstandings pile up,…
I, too, admit to being intimidated by the length of "What Happens To My Family" but it's a really great drama that isn't your ordinary 'only romance in focus'. I've watched 5 episodes of Kahogo no Kahoko and I can honestly say I'm not disappointed so far. She challenges her surroundings, which you said, and I've yet to see Hyo Jin do the same. Again, thank you for the recommendation. I'm enjoying it thus far.
Normally, the naive female roles both bore and annoys me. You can just see all the misunderstandings pile up, however, reading your well-written teaser/article of this drama changed my mind completely. I'm currently watching episode 25 of "What Happens To My Family", and the sheltered/mother-obeying Hyo Jin always sets me in a bad mood. (Sorry to those who haven't seen it and don't get the reference. It's a great drama. Go watch it!).
I know they're not the same but I was just reminded of her when reading this article, especially when reading about the family's in-depth description of their relationships. I must say, the gif part at the end was, for me, the best add-in in this article. It really shows in what way she's naive. I haven't seen the show, but I'm more hopeful that she isn't like the spineless Hyo Jin.
The main point (Sorry for the long comment): Thank you for the great article. You've definitely changed my mind on this drama. I'll try watching it. - Happy watching.
PLEASE let this be good. Judging from the cast, my expectations are high. I liked Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung in many of their prior works. - Fighting!
Thank you all so very much for stating your opinions, regarding which drama would be good for a starter. As a writer, it's very pleasing to see people's responses, whether it being critique or compliments. You guys amazed me with the amount of feedback!

they should have a second series since the ending was like a cliffhanger
In my personal opinion, I didn't find the ending unsatisfying. I haven't seen Signal, so I can't compare the two, but the ending in this series isn't lacking. In my perception, it's merely a hunch of a new beginning. I really hope you'll give this drama a chance even though there's a chance that you'll feel unhappy towards the end.
This made me laugh so bad Haha. For me, I think number 5 takes the cake. Nothing is more troublesome than a weak female lead. It's just too frustrating to watch it when they don't speak up. It makes me want to crawl through the screen and knock some sense into them! But I must say, 3, 2 and 1 makes my skin crawl as well. I just want everyone to be happy and not kiss like either of them are scared out of their minds!
This is a very good ACTION series. However, if you're a huge sucker for romance i suggest you find something else. I'm a huge sucker for romance myself and I liked it, thought not for the romance points, but for the action and in-depth explanation in fighting scenes. Don't get me wrong, I do recommend it, strongly even. Just prepare yourself not to get blown away by a sweet romance.
Please Subbers. Without you, I can't feed my drama addiction!
