Come on we know who the “bad guy” that is doing the cleaning up for those bad cops. I know does eyes anywhere. Min Woo I have missed watching him in dramas I’m glad he is back and doesn’t take another break this long from korean dramas. It has been years! But his been busy with his band and his concerts.
Yeah, I feel like there's a line that an anti-hero can never cross. For me your second option is strictly the…
More sad is that they portray that as romantic, and some viewers actually like those type of characters. Like actually want the girl to end up with them,
Thanks ;) I’m looking for new dramas, I feel like I seen it all. Can’t find what to watch lol. I jumped from watching Kdramas and Jdramas to Chinese now I’m in Lakorns hahhah still feel like I have nothing to watch. Maybe I will find something on your recommendations, so thanks
I think is just a tiny line that separate all this type of characters. We have the controlling/ Jealous type, maybe a few hand or arm pulls to stop them from leaving. A push against the wall for a kiss. The guys is your normal student, CEO, celeb, family oriented, Poor guy but he has never even pull a gun or been on a gang or has kill no one. Also never hits the girl. Than we have the anti hero’s the ones that been on a gang or is out for vengeance. Do some evil things here and there but never hits the girl and loves and cares for her, even sometimes they have a family member they care and protect. But never cares about the rest of the world on those selected people. Which I think is what this article is about. Than we have the ones that are in another level the ones that get abusive physically, and even on this type they are level how bad they get. I seen leads choke the lead girl , slapped and even raped (mostly seen on Lakorns)
I guess is about personal preference on how much we tolerate from this guy leads. In some cases I don’t even want them to end up with the leads and I stay thinking “why do they even want to stay with a guy like that.”
Nice article =) I'm not sure what you mean by saying that Moon Lovers was one of the worst written shows. That…
Korean always try to sugar coat all plots. In The Chinese novel of Scarlet Heart the lead guy was married and had kids, the secondary guy in one scenes choked her but you think Korean would actually show that in their dramas? NOOO of course not. I haven’t watched the chinese drama but I don’t even think they showed that Hahahhah Also Koreans just did a remake of a Japanese drama not to long ago and that Japanese drama has a pretty twisted ending but of course Koreans changed that.
1. We didn’t see the development of character of the male lead, he just came back and said I understand I did…
Exactly!
From experience when I have seen that the lead actress ends up with a secondary male lead I have only liked it once hahaha When the relationship between the leads and the lead and secondary guy doesn’t get equal time and development I don’t like it.
In one American movie the guy was about to get married but in a trip he knows a woman (the lead) the whole movie the focus is on development Of their romance but they don’t end up together he ends up marrying the fiancé. I don’t get why the writer did that, specially because we didn’t get to see him with the fiancé we didn’t know nothing of her character. I didn’t like how that one ended. In the one I liked was because the lead was a big douchebag and the secondary was good to her. So I like that she didn’t stay with the lead guy.
In this case is hard cause even as viewers we are hard to please. We don’t like that the lead girl stays waiting or always in love with the lead, that she never gives secondary guys a chance (not realistic) but if she does we hate that she did but doesn’t stay with him. That she breaks up with him once the other guy comes back to the picture. But at least she gave another a chance no? But we don’t like that either Hahhaha because maybe we like them together more than the leads. Our feelings are really contradicting. How about if she stay with the secondary but that doesn’t please us either.
The question would be why writers think is okay to write this lovely secondary guys when she has no intention of them to end up together?!
1. We didn’t see the development of character of the male lead, he just came back and said I understand I did…
Maybe we are more realistic about this type of situations, and expect more. I sincerely thought the second lead guy was going to die because of his type of work. There is one scene were they show he goes in part of the construction that wasn’t really secure or when the old man kept going I thought he would die saving him. One scene they call her on the phone and I said This is it he died. Sincerely I thought that would be a better ending than the writer just making him immature at the ending. Also when he jumped and saved her drawings made me want more that she stayed with him. The lead guy was just looking from afar. I think maybe you like the first half because there was no confusion, no other guy, also the honey moon stage. I love older guy and younger girl romance like this one (age wise) but omg this guy at the end of the relationship got on my nerves hahahah.
It’s a 7.5 for me.
I can keep talking about this drama for days but I’ll stop here Hahhahah
I didn’t like the ending and I’ll explain why in the another comment below.
1. We didn’t see the development of character of the male lead, he just came back and said I understand I did wrong and I have Change but would he really? maybe a few months he will but people that are extremely perfectionist and work obsessed never change. 2. He even said I think she is better with the other guy, she won’t be happy with me. 3. I loved the secondary guy, he loved her and never got in between the leads while they dated. 4. Writers have this dumb way of changing the secondary character when he dates the lead from super adorable to dumb, immature or even mean to excuse that they will stay with the lead. Was he immature? Hmm a bit and mostly when he change his dream but I think they did that to excuse that she will stay with the lead 5. I didn’t like who she end up with.
I knew she will end up with the lead mostly because she never kiss the secondary lead. But I never gave up the hope she will pick him :( but it didn’t happen. I just said I watch all this for nothing.
I think this is the worst Male lead I seen on a Lakorn! From the ones I seen. He never changed! She didn’t either. This was a pretty twisted romance, how can you possibly think of having a future with a person that has hurt you so much?! Not just emotionally but physically. How can all those memories be erased of so much hurt. Both leads were masochist.
Looks like i should go check out Cruel City. I really LOVE Secret though. Innocent Man didn't leave much impression…
What I love Innocent Man was how he was so deeply in love with the ex even to the point of going to Jail for her but fell for the lead girl even if he didn’t expect it. He was a man that gave his all for the woman that he loved, and showed that with both girls. Also when a bad guy falls for the good girl really is exciting for me. On Secret it felt like the lead guy fell for the girl to fast.
