The rating on this site counts for nothing, I remember a famous Chinese actress super famous drama here it had a 9 in China tv had like 7. What counts is Chinas rating is what gets the Chinese actress and actors awards.
Look let’s be sincere here, I’m watching very popular c dramas with popular actors as leads and all of them have their great episodes and their boring ones, simply is what writers do to not expose anything too fast. This one is not an exception. The chemistry makes it worth it.
The difference is that the leading actresses of the other dramas have hardcore fandom who make fake profiles and rate their faves high multiple times, delulu fans who can’t accept their fave dramas can also be slow and repetitive meaning high ratings. This one is at 7.7 and I can tell you the others aren’t that great to be 8 point something.
