That one cannot see how degrading it can be to have a blackfaced character loaded with negative stereotypes: from dreadlocks with insects in them, strange sexual connotations, uncivilised character etc is beyond me. And i say this as a black person. The question to think about is-- what did making this guy a Rastafari (or whatever they were trying to make him) really add to the character other than a racial connotation for the purpose of some comedy through degrading means???. Why couldn't they have made him any other ethnicity? Someone with features that are not exotically different to the rest of the cast? . Then you'll see the answer...
