I absolutely agree with you about ADWAD. It was my second Chinese Drama and I adore it's clever plot lines, brilliant acting from the entire ensemble and fell hard for both the leads.
I'd never think to compare it with POB because they're totally different genre's.
My first Chinese Drama was Perfect Match, which is also a comedy. It's easier to draw comparisons between these two than the other pair. I've since watched POB, The Story of Pearl Girl, Pursuit of Jade and in the midst of a few others. I would definitely rank ADWAD as my favourite comedy & Liu Yu Ning drama. I was deeply disappointed in Pearl Girl's end and I dropped his modern drama "About Love" because a few of the characters and themes really annoyed me, which is generally not something that puts me off enough to drop something. I know that I'll watch it again purely to fall in love with all the characters again. Their humour, strength, adaptability and resourcefulness. The music, sets and costumes were also absolutely perfectly paired with each character, scene and moment. Liu Yu Ning also sang a few of the songs for the OST. 🩷

I hope the Rat Kwon Min Woo won't be in it.
There has to be someone playing a rat! I think the more you dispise them, the better they're doing in terms of acting. It may be cliché but the rats drive the plot through some of the best dramas and help the main characters' development.
