Low rating....! I just don't get it.... Yes it is slow paced...& Wuxia may not be everyone's cup of tea ..…
Yup. Romance is often the main focus in dramas, it’s kinda ruined people’s expectations. Now if the leads aren’t glued to each other, everyone calls it boring.
I don’t think this drama was meant to be realistic, that’s why we have 1 vs 23487 fight, a main character who gets beaten senseless but still gets back up, and a villain who’s always just one hand away but can never catch him. It’s like Marvel superheroes but without the fantasy element. I mean, it’s literally advertised as an ‘Avengers’ team, so yeah, a bit of unrealism and cheesiness is to be expected.
Things I wish they did differently though: Less repetitive fight scenes. More group fights. More background and focus on the other characters, not just the Good Boy. Didn't reveal the villain so early. Romance is great between the leads, but the love triangle wasn’t needed.
4 episodes left and so far I'm giving this a 7.5 out 10.
I love this series, and like I said before, I’m okay with the slow pace. However, episodes 9 and 10 are my least favorite so far. I get that Hanna’s supposed to be a cold character, and I really like Kim So Hyun, but her expressions are just too cold, her eyes feel completely soulless. With all the action and everything that happened in episode 9, I expected at least a bit of emotion in her eyes. The one vs 20 men are cool, but they’re starting to feel a bit repetitive. Still, I’m excited for next week!
Come on! It’s such a great show. I don’t understand why some are complaining. What, did you expect a 16-episode series to unravel everything and catch the villains by episode 7? This is only the beginning, and I’m hyped as hell for next week! I like how slow it’s going. It makes me feel more attached to the characters and to the series as a whole. There’s so much to unravel, and I’m ready for all of it. Let’s gooo!! and wait... I forgot the kisss!! so cute these twoo, I love them!
I love it! The action, comedy, and mystery are top-notch. The first two episodes were a bit slow, but I get that they were building things up. Episodes 3 and 4 are brilliant! I’m not too focused on the romance part since it’s not the main focus (though the chemistry between the leads is to die for), but honestly, the love triangle didn’t need to be there. If they had just shown the FL and ML gradually growing to like each other, rather than already knowing each other, it would’ve been way more interesting. Overall, I’m totally hooked! It’s been a while since a K-drama got me this invested.
