I didn't say he was unhappy, I said he didn't value it that he choose XY over it

But then XY wasn't there so that's why he was killing himself when he was with FFYY, when XY came back he decided to live. As for marrying FFYY, XL left him, not much of a choice, it's not as if he was given a chance to either marry FFYY or XY at that point, XY already eliminated herself from his choices.

Like I said he was selfish.

Sadly I didnt read the book, everything I said was based on the film, so I guess I have nothing to say BTW I didn't say fenglong death was stupid just XL as for XY she didn't exactly die for XC in the end.

I only remember him killing himself once he didn't have a choice the second time. That was because she was dead, he struggled to come back the second time. XY left him he didn't abandoned her to marry his fiance

He already chose his grandma once so don't you think he should do something for himself as for the position of chief he never wanted it,never cared for it and never regretted it till the end. In the film we can see very firmly that he never wanted fame, wealth or status that's why he put fenglong ahead of him. Everyone has their own desire just as XY wanted peace and freedom, what he wanted was what he got.

Naturally love has different form, I agree like I said they were all selfish just that TSJ selfishness was XY.
I wouldn't have it any other way, Her story, her choice no one gets to question her choice. As for the different kinds and forms of love that's up to you. I've said mine

He's so good that he decided to die, if the person you love chose to die would you think of that as selfless, just as everyone thought that XY's parents were heros to her they were the worst parents who abandoned her. Most times love is staying, it's living.

This drama is one of the best drama as well as one of the worst drama I've watched, I recently watch the S2 and for goodness sake what the heck. I find so many things so thing so annoying
1)According to the film. TSJ is supposed to a smart calculating and powerful person but the film did his character no justice at all, they made him look like a weak incompetent person which really annoys me, just because he ends up with XY that does no justice to him at all
2)What the heck is wrong with this story, why make XL love her so much yet not choose her, XL is the most annoying character fo me in this drama, after watching S2 I get it he really loves her but why not chose her instead he chooses to die the most stupid death over a dead cause and a defeated army, somebody that couldn't even choose her over a dead cause definitely doesn't deserve to end up with her, he gave way to TSJ not because even he could see see that TSJ was the one for her TSJ could give to XY what he could never give, he even write in his last letter that she found a perfect lover
3)CX got everything he wanted but still lost everything in the end he found out he didn't rally love XY but loved the throne more and couldn't choose her over it, so he gave way to her happiness and to TSJ
In the end all of them were selfish including XY just that TSJ selfishness was for her
The only person that could chose her over everything else and put her first was TSJ, he has his own mistakes in the story but still always choose her in the end. How lucky she is to find someone like that, not everybody is that lucky
As to whether she loved XL,she did just not as much as she loved TSJ,XL was a temporary companion
Also my condolences to fenglong he was a good guy as well as XL he shouldn't have died such a stupid death
Overall I loved the story as well as her choice that exactly I would make if I were her. The actors of all ML were so good waiting for more of their dramas. As for me it TSJ forever

I came across this film by accident, I decided to watch it, I won't lie after watch so many high budget dranas like till the end of the moon and lost you forever.Stand by me was a breath of fresh air for me it takes me back to royal palace which I have long left and I definitely wasn't disappointed although sometime I found ML and FL scenes draggy, I can handle it. The ending definitely got me crying for yanzhi and qi Yan and I really pitied the FL since she lost both her sister and lover, in the end my fav character is yanzhi she's just so smart. All in all this drama is worth the 49 eps, one of my fav palace themed Chinese drama

Who would watch untamed and not make it their favorite. Definitely the best of all time

I think this is probably the first time I've seen a cdrama article on mdl which is quite a shame since cdramas are also as interesting as kdramas and sometimes even more interesting, so thank you for this article. I've never heard of any of the dramas in this list and I'm also not a fan of short dramas, I don't think they are interesting. I prefer normal length drama but thanks for the article.

That's right normal length cdrama are definitely more interesting. Short dramas aren't usually interesting and I speaking from experience
