I am not taking it lightly about those situations. I am just telling every where even if a certain thing is done or acted without any impure actions, people just judge it. I think intentions matter most. Someone can be saying "You are pretty" in a way that is nice and a compliment as well as someone can say that sentence in a malicious way.

I am friends with many younger people who live in my neighbourhood and some of my parent's friends' children. If an older female can be friends with younger boys why can't the reverse be true?

And the fact that the show discourages dating or anything when she was young is appropriate.

For your second point.
The FL jokes that ML would not have a girlfriend. So he says that she is doomed if he doesn't have a girlfriend beacuse it will be due to her curse.

I seriously think you haven't had interactions with older boys.
I don't know from which country you are but in many countries it is not advisable to date when they are young. You don't know but students are literally called out in school for 'puppy love'. It is not grooming. It is just a cultural thing in China to not date when they are young.

I just don't get some people. They just question even a simple normal interaction between any two people. Not everyone is a pedophile.

And this show doesn't promote it. The FL literally let go of her feelings for ML. It is only when they started interacting when she became adult that they got into any kind of relationship.

The thing is in the novel it is explained that (and it will come in later episodes) the ML had borrowed money from Sang Zhi's parents. He feels that he owes them. So he treats Sang Zhi better. And, come on, the flirting was a joke. He wrote the essay just for fun. Why are you just trying to find reason for every actions? I guess you haven't have a younger friend who you treat like a brother/sister.

He is one of my favourite actors. Love him❤️ He is amazing in Taxi Driver and Move to Heaven!

I would say there is no 'romance', as in particularly. But there is the same trust and care both the female leads have towards the male lead.

In My Mister, it's reasonable that they didn't end of together due to the age difference, but their relationship was endearing.

I think you should watch 'My Mister'. It has a similar vibe to this show but there is no romance in it. You would definitely love both the male and female lead.
