Review Iron Family
The glaring issue of this show is the plot device. A lower-class family struggles to get by. Barely making ends…
Anything is possible in a k-drama lol : )

"Do you know how expensive it is to take care of old people in jail?" LMAO, that took me out. I, too, agree that the court stuff was bonkers. Especially the sentencing. But I still felt you gave too high a rating lol. I've become a little softer about the show after rewatching it fully for a second time. It's still bad, but damn, the potential was there for it to be far more memorable. Oh well.

Review Our Movie
Your review is a perfect example of why the block feature is so useful and needed. There are some serious mental issues at play here if you're willing to look at actors and actresses' personal lives to critique a show that has no bearing on production. Mind you, the female lead is literally over 30 years old in real life. I hope you get help man.

Seriously, this is the only review worth reading about this show. The people who rated it higher probably feel the little boy's cuteness is enough to captivate, endure, and carry the whole show. Nope. I fell for those YouTube clips, too, that only showcase the cute, lovable parts, which always portray the young actor. He isn't confounded by the tonal language barrier of Mandarin/Chinese yet. That's why there is so much genuine chemistry in every scene he's in. The FL is also wonderful, but there are too many cliches and tropes working against her. The marriage contract is the worst offender, too. It doesn't help that she is badly written. She's supposed to be a doctor, but honestly, she never acts like one. Nor does the writing match the profession. The only time I genuinely felt like she was a doctor was in episode 8, where she explains the little boy's diagnosis. Had they skipped the marriage contract and the ML's retconned 180 behavior after the said contract, the show would have been at least bearable. Please don't waste your time, just read this user's review.

Finally, someone said it. I like the start of this drama, but WTH after mid why the FL forgive everyone? She loses…
She didn't lose her career, she literally gets kicked out of the company by her ex's new family in law. They literally bullied her, both mentally and physically, to get her to quit and ruin her. He also dumped her the day before his wedding, by presenting his wedding invitation to her. Wtf?? FL then proceeds to forgive him, comfort him later on, and even attend his fathers wedding when he dies. Just horribly bad writting.

God, I wish I wrote this review lol. Well done. : )

Are you talking about the side characters? The one who broke up with the FL to marry that other girl? If so, they broke up because he still remembered his ex. He tried celebrating her birthday, forgetting his own wives birthday. He bought her shoes in the size of his ex, not his wife too. They spent like 60 seconds on that lol, so I can get your confusion. This show left ALOT of unanswered questions, it was bad. Like why was the ML so close to the chairwoman? Nothing truly important was answered.

She is not the same actress, you talking about Kim Jiwon
I never said she was the same actress. Read again, I said she appeared with Kim in Lovestruck in the City. She was a guest star for two episodes.

Review Lady of Law
I'm going to end up giving this show the same review number you gave it, but your review is odd as hell. It's like you didn't watch it at all and just assume the husband is innocent. Nah, he left because he wanted to get away from the problems of his wifes dad. He even said he wanted to advance his career while he was still "young". His MOM was the one who was there for their daughter more than both of them combined. And in all truthfulness, the wife was there more for the child despite her busy lawyer schedule. So no, you didn't watch the show carefully, or rather just sped through it.

Review Iron Family
While I agree with the mother making her daughter's blindness a priority, it's explained very well. She doesn't love her youngest daughter more, she is her favorite. The very first episode explains why. The youngest daughter is the only one who checks up on her, listens to what she says, and comforts her mother. The other children are self-driven, almost anti-social, and wish to escape the family in their own way. But you're wrong to say the mother puts her youngest first. No, she simply sees the surgery as the most important priority because she doesn't want her daughter to live in darkness. She also has a very limited amount of time to perform the surgery before she goes totally blind. She is happy for her son marrying a chief's daughter. Happy her eldest daughter is a fashion designer. And even after they help Da Rim get her eyesight back, she makes it a point to help her other children too. And she does. Having a favorite child doesn't mean you love your others less.

Such a short and great review. Well done. The ML's looks are virtually carrying the "9.1" rating for this show. Who cares about a logical plot, just show the ML without a shirt and we got a hit on our hands. Smh.

Review My Lovely Liar Spoiler
Not only that, the ML for some reason didn't know that his ex was being mentally and physically abused by her father. He didn't know she was poor. He knew pretty much NOTHING. Are you freaking serious? They dated for over a year in high school. She even asks to go live with him while he attends college, but he says no. Given that his mother was in the sphere of political influence, he could have easily afforded it. Instead, the writers make the ex a tragic psycho. It's absolutely nuts. The writers really decided to bypass simple logic lol.

And I also don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but are rom-coms dead in K-drama Land??? It certainly feels that…
If you've started watching k-dramas directly since Boys over Flowers, you will definitely be worn out. Perhaps too much. I think the Netflix partnerships have allowed writers and producers to explore mature storylines and complex characters. Allowing writers to really cook and push the genres. Not to mention the subjects that are controversial in both countries, namely bullying and suicide. It's Okay to not be Okay, Queen of Tears, and Perfect Marriage Revenge are perfect examples of stories that would have floundered back then if they remained only rom-coms. There is still romance and great comedy blended in with these new shows, but they're so much more complex and realistic. The latter being so important today as we've gotten more and more annoyed with cringy comedies, especially in a post-BOF's world. I can safely suggest any of those 3 titles I mentioned to people I know who love rom-coms and I think they would be greatly surprised.

Dramas don’t only fall into those two categories. A drama can be fluffy and sweet, and solely made for entertainment…
Shhhh, let him sit in a corner and enjoy his two genres.

"Did her brain stop working?" LMFAO, I can't tell you how hard I laughed at this. I loved your review. We aren't haters or hating on actors, we're just mature viewers who EXPECT something more, especially after seeing so many wonderful k-dramas this year. Also, have you seen Run On? The ML is an extremely dimwitted character that shows lack of social development in so many scenes. One person said he might be autistic, which bothered me as my brother is, but then I remembered that the character did a complete 180 when he was with the house maid, even hugging her. So I'm pretty sure he wasn't. So that bothered me even more. I actually don't mind cringe, I've gotten used to it and I can tolerate it to some extent. There's a huge audience there for that, and it's how it is. My biggest annoyance though, is characters who purposely dumb. I can understand nerds or intelligent people who provide comedic relief and just general funny supporting casts. But when they make them THIS DUMB I feel like they are making fun of people who have real life disorders or health issues that are beyond their control. So why make characters like this? It makes no sense to me. Anyhow, I would love to see if you've seen that show and thank you for such a great review.

Dropped at ten, but breezed through the final episodes and FINALLY finished reading this review. Honestly, it's the only review you need to read. A pretty face cannot be the only thing that keeps a show afloat. 9.1 rating my ass. Thank you so much for clearly putting into words what many of us were frustrated with. I thought I was going nuts over how illogical the FL lead was. Honestly, nothing more needs to be said, this drama was a missed opportunity. As a deaf and disabled person, I expected more. A quick one episode trope is just pure insulting. But the show will go on in popularity, purely for the rabid fanbase ogling over the ML's looks. Sigh.
