Like happened to you, I discovered him in Guardian, and the rest is history. I like him a lot, he's such an amazing actor, i love how can convey all kind of feelings through his eyes (and what beautiful eye he has, with those looooong lashes), I haven't watched "As flowers fade and fly..." and Lost Tomb, but I will.
I would love to watch him in a modern setting drama, so I'm waiting for "Falling into your smile". But if the first to be aired is another fantasy or historical drama I will be happy too. I just want more XuKai' s dramas as soon as possible!!
I watched the first Lost Tomb back in 2015, with Li Yi Feng and Yang Yang, and I liked it (I completely agree with the tattoo and the fan service), but I haven't watch anything else. Although I'm patiently waiting for the Lost Tomb 3 since I'm a fan of Zhu Yi Long. But thanks to this article I'm going to give a try to the other dramas. Starting with Mistic Nine.
Healer is my number 1 drama. Just yesterday I finished it again. Is the only drama I've re-watch completely, without skipping half of the episodes. So I really understand your friend. And I must admit I envy your success in getting her into Dramaland!!
My first drama ever was precisely Kurosagi. And I did exactly the same as you, keep digging out Yamapi's works , and discovering he was part of a boy band, and like you said: once you find a Johnny's you've find them all. And after that first drama... How many more I've watched, and how many will come? A lot of them, that's for sure.
My God... I've seen so many drama, and I usually watched new ones and from previous years, so I actually can't remeber wich ones are from this year. Ok, after checking the list of kdramas, from 2018 I've only watched 3: Terius behind me, Lawless lawyer and My ID is Gangnam beauty. And I'm currently watching Memories of the Alhambra. From Japan only 1 drama: Sachiiro no One room. I don't remember if I've watched Taiwan dramas, this year, but I started to watch chinese dramas this year (after watching Ice Fantasy on Netflix), and the one that hooked me completely even if it wasn't the best drama ever, far from it, but the two main leads delivered the most impressive performances (IMO): Guardian. And I'm watching Flame's Daughter, Ever Night, Secret of the Three Kingdoms. It seems that I'm changing countries while picking my new dramas. ????
Truth! Because I previously saw black Sabre 1989, I thought couples were fixed and would remain the same. I wouldn't…
True, I'm thinking that usually ZYL is usually the one who save the dramas he works in. Sometimes we get lucky and one of his co-workers is good at acting too. But damn, he's really unlucky with the plots of his dramas.

In the bathroom scene he wasn't FHX? I don't understand chinese, and I've found eng subs only until episode 22. I watched the rest without subs, so I missed a lot.

I didn't know there was a book. I heard about the previous version. And I must say... I never feel chemistry between Fang Lin and Hong Xue, but a lot between CuiNong and Hong Xue, they were a better couple.
And I must admit I envy your success in getting her into Dramaland!!
