Sorry, I probably wouldn't be able to help with any recommendations. I myself just got back into watching CDrama this year after a 2-year hiatus. And I too have quite a long list to get through! Tons of stuff from 2023 that I plan on watching (Truly did feel like a golden year). The only 2025 dramas on my list are Shadow Love and Fated Hearts.
Yeah these days MDL is trending towards more of ratings being dependent on the cast rather than the actual plot. Lots of newer dramas getting very high ratings with mediocre storylines and sub-par acting/directing. Or maybe I've just seen too many dramas to the point where I can guess the entire plot of some by ep 2-3.
Incredibly disappointed with this one. Far too many cliches and common tropes. Too many illogical things in the writing. When I got past the illogical stuff, it became much better. But the cliches and tropes itself I've seen far too much in other CDramas, so I already knew what would happen later.
EPs 34-36 were unnecessary and simply delayed the inevitable HE.
Ignoring those things, I simply think this was a horrible portrayal of a female general. Much prefer Oh My General! over this one.
