really wanted to watch this drama, especially bcos of Garvey Jin (i think he's an underrated actor). but ended up dropping it cos the actors are dubbed.
Love the tension and small twists in this drama, but I nearly gave up watching at ep24. From there onwards, it somehow became a cheap & cringy melodrama. The only thing keeping me is wanting to see the end of the 'final boss'. And speaking of the 'final boss', they've sort of revealed it pretty early, so not that hard to guess. It's my first time watching Cheng Xiao's drama. I love her visual, but acting-wise I feel her expression is rather flat. Def not as flat as Kristen Stewart though! I'm so keen on watching her future dramas. And Ji Xiaobing, whoa! His first drama that I watched was Be with You, where I found him to have even less expression than Cheng Xiao (yes this one leans more towards Kristen Stewart lol). But here, his acting blew my mind!
On another note - the first time i saw Shi Chuchu I immediately feel that Tian Yitong would've been perfect as Fan Yunyi in Forget You Remember Love. I've been watching the original Taiwanese drama many times since it first aired ages ago, and I reckon Tian Yitong has the original Fan Yunxi (Joyce Chao)'s vibe. just my two cents βΊοΈ
Garvey Jin is so handsome, but gotta admit Mingdao nailed it as an arrogant boss. Mingdao has this confident aura,…
just finished watching Lie to Love, and the first time I saw Shi Chuchu I immediately feel that Tian Yitong would've been perfect as Fan Yunyi in this remake version. ep9 atm. is it just me, or has FL no self-respect at all...? her flirting, all her effort to catch ML's attention makes her look... cheap? i tried watching this drama before & dropped it bcos of the FL. but i adore Bailu and Dylan Wang so much & always love their acting skill, so trying to give it another try this time. i guess it's just the way the novel writer shapes the FL's character that doesn't sit well with me π₯²
dragged myself to finish this drama π i had high expectation for this one, modern/fantasy romance is my favourite topic and i got so excited reading the plot. but throughout watching the story is surprisingly boring. especially the second couple, i had to fast forward many times & they had lots of screentime. i love both couples' acting and the osts though.
can't believe there'll be a day where i drop a drama just 5 eps away. the actors are all top notch, love their acting, but story-wise is super boring for me. so i gave up at eps 25. but i'm a new fan of Xiaozhan now~!
a bit boring but the main couple is super sweet, love their chemistry! them getting together & all lovey-dovey is the only reason i stick till the end β€οΈ and i really hope they let the male lead use his own voice.
dropped this drama once before because of the voice dubbing. the way those voice actors delivered every single line... sound super fake & cringy! π came back this time because of the high reviews & nearly drop it again - but forcing myself to stay by relying on the actors' visual, performance, chemistry and beautiful soundtracks.
i genuinely hope they'll just let the actors use their own voice.
YEAH. We at the west need to unite and create secret organization. Which will penetrate all major chinese studios…
hey sorry for the confusion - i was actually put off by Mainland China's voice actors π
they can't seem to capture the actual actor/actress at all. those performing actors' facial expression, body movement - all blown off by the voice that's not their own. it just doesn't sit well with me - i find it really hard to enjoy watching Chinese dramas where the leads have to be dubbed by voice actor.
aww ep 12 dance practice - did anyone notice how different it was when Zhang Ruoxi only barely held Lin Ruolei's hand & shoulder vs how he was towards Xia Mi? β€οΈ
i'm a big fan of Sabrina Zhuang, Bian Tianyang, Wang Chuan and Zhou Yiran but unfortunately couldn't manage to finish this drama π will try my luck with their next projects.
personally like Simona Wang's visual more than Gina Jin (it's my first time watching both ladies' drama) - BUT Simona Wang's voice actor made me wanna give up watching this drama everytime i heard her voice.
and i ended up dropping completely at ep 6, it's just that unbearable... π
guess i'll just try my luck with Simona Wang and Wang Zi Yi's future works.
