Wow... 60 dramas, you're on a marathon then. :) If you haven't watch Cuo Dian Yuan Yang, do watch it. It's older drama, out in 2012 BUT it's very good. Great story line,. It makes you laugh, cry, sad, happy, interest & fall in love. Fun, funny & beautiful love story & great brotherhood between all main characters. I LOVE IT. Zhao Lying, Qi Ji, Han Dong are all in it. They act very well together & it's fun to watch them all. This is also 1st role when Zhao Lying act as main actress, she did AN AWESOME JOB. I'm addicted to Cuo Dian Yuan Yang still. Watch at least 50 times already & still re-watch all the moments between Zhao Lying & Qi Ji. If it comes out now, It could be a very popular. Highly recommend! :)

I Love this drama very much & would recommend it 100%. The chemistry between ML & FL is Unbelievable & So Natural that make you addict to it. Their chemistry doesn't happen in most Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Thai... drama. This is the BEST couple in drama history. You have to see it for yourself & don't just read negative comments. Everyone has different take on it. To me, both ML & FL did an outstanding job. Credit to the writers & directors as well. I've been rewarding over & over & still not getting tired of it. It's fun, funny, refreshing & easy to connect cause majority of their problems relate to real life problems.

Also, it teach us valuable lesson about life, love, relationships, loyalty, faithfulness, forgiveness & positivity. I LOVE to see STRONG, BEAUTIFUL, INDEPENDENT, FUN, FUNNY, CUTE & HARD WORKER FEMALE LEAD like this. She's nice, has a good heart but you CAN'T push her around. She knows what she wants, she goes after it, she fight for what belong to her & she isn't afraid to be straightforward with how she feel. This FL character is very refreshing & interesting to watch. I HATE to see those drama with WEAK ML & FL, all they do is being a victim, cry & let others pull & push them all over the place.

Reminder: majority of these Main Characters in ancient Chinese drama is between 13-20 years old or so. They did get married at very young age in that time. They are Kids in their Characters. As viewers, don't expect them to behave, act or think as if they were in their 30, 40...

I came across General's Lady & Chef Hua drama with Tang Min is Lead Actress on Youtube. I rarely have time to watch TV or any Chinese drama cause usually it's super long & I prefer short action or comedy movies. However, I really enjoyed these 2 dramas. Tang Min did an EXCELLENT JOB in both. I am a Big Fan of Tang Min now. Caesar Wu & Yang Kai Cheng also did very good job as her husband. Her character in each role is totally different & you feel like the character is her. She is truly TALENTED ACTRESS. You really can't tell that she act. The way she carries her role, herself, her smile, her eyes, her sweetness, her emotion, her reaction & her behavior... in each character are OUTSTANDING. Her UNDENIABLE CHEMISTRY with the Lead Actors is what really make it worth watching. You feel like they are real couples, real husband & wife with real problems, mistakes, misunderstanding & how they listen to each other, come together & solve it.

Watching "Behind the scenes" & some of their interviews of these 2 dramas, I feel like Caesar Wu & Yang Kai Cheng like to work with Tang Min & also like her in real life. It seems that she hasn't get recognized much for her talent & hard work as she should have. She is beautiful & seem like a nice & great girl. I sure hope to see Tang Min in more great dramas/movies as Leading actress to show case all of her talents & skills & get recognized for it. I'm hopeful for 2nd part of General's Lady & Chef Hua. Their unconditional love, respect, attentive, supportive, protective & loyal to each other as husband & wife is truly admirable for many men & women out there. Watching them, we can all learn to improve ourselves & our relationship with our significant other. Sorry for a long note. If you watch General's Lady & Chef Hua, you might feel the same way I do. ♥

I haven't watch Legend of Yunxi's yet but If you like beautiful love story, you'll like this. If you like extensive royal drama, war fights, you might not like it. It's worth watching. It's fun, funny & leaving many of us hoping to see 2nd part. Enjoy!

I agree. Even in 1st few eps, in translation they even said ML is around 20 years old. So FL has to be 20 years old or less. One of the comments on here said in the novel FL is 13 years old. I don't know if she is 13 or not but I'm sure both characters aren't fully mature. The actor & actress play well for their roles. How many people in real life got married at age 13-20? Not many. Some people in their 30,40,50,60 still ACT LIKE & THINK LIKE A CHILD in real life. What do people expect? I'd hope viewers relax, watch & enjoy it as the series grows instead of putting their judgement into each character & determine if that drama is good or not. It's understandable that everyone has his or her own opinion on each drama. An opinion is more valuable, genuine & sincere if he or she finish the whole series & look at the overall meaning & the story of the drama. Actors & actresses have to act however the writer & directer want them to act. Did you see "Chef Hua"? I enjoyed that one as well. Tang Min & Yang Kai Cheng did a great job as well. Feel like they are real married couple. Good chemistry. Sure hope I see more good drama with simple meaningful beautiful story that relate to everyday people than royal drama or too much of unrealistic dramatic stuff drags the eps out too long. At the end, she did seem a bit over react when ML hided the rebellious plan from her. I would act differently since I'm a lot older but I understand why she is over react though. As a wife, also being pregnant at age 14, 15 & not knowing if her husband is safe or not out there, all she thinks is that he probably goes into harm way to save her & her family life, she couldn't hold emotion because she worry for his life. As wife, I think she trust & respect him but as a woman there is also that sense that her husband might get hurt & die. It could easily solved if he let her know his plan but it's a drama so writer has to make a bit dramatic. In real life, rarely anyone gets marry that young so the maturity in us are there to deal with problems. Glad we can discuss this. Have to seen "Chef Hua"? Tang Min is in that one too. Her & Yang Kai Cheng did a great job, seem like real married couple. Her character there is a bit more mature & independent. :)

I LOVE this Drama & would recommend it 100%. If you LOVE food, beautiful love story, simple life, faithful supportive protective husband, hard working independence wife, good sister, great brother in law, awesome mother in law, great friends & neighbors & beautiful country views... & all character are pretty straightforward, YOU WILL LOVE THIS DRAMA. It's very light & relaxing. It isn't dramatic. There is no royal drama, no political, no war fights, no real evil characters & every problem is a lesson like in real life. All the problems raise are solved very quickly & satisfied. FL & her sister relationship is awesome. What admire the most are the ML & FL chemistry, their love & care for each other throughout the series. You feel like they are real husband & wife. They talk about all the problems they face everyday & get each other advise. FL lean on ML & so does he. Behind the scene was funny to watch as well. She listen to her husband most of the time but he doesn't make decision without her agreement & he let her decide what best for her & what she think is right in her heart. He is truly a great husband, always think ahead of time for her, very supportive, protective of her & have plan for her & her future. I love their interaction & their communication very much. If all couples can learn from these two & how to communicate with each other like ML & FL, the divorce rate won't be so high anymore. Mix in between their beautiful love story, sweet moments of ML & FL, there are many meaningful lessons regarding child abuse, human trafficking, broken relationship of Mom & Son, Dad & Son, bullying,.. Overall, it's a great drama to watch. I rarely watch this kind of drama but I truly enjoyed it & keep rematch it over again & again. I hope there is 2nd part. Tang Min & Yang Kai Cheng did an awesome job & so did everyone else. Great Writer & Director. Hope to see more simple beautiful love like this. :)

Exactly! Thank you. I read these comments & majority say that FL is annoying BUT I see completely different. To me, she 's brave, strong, independence & not easy to push her around. Her character is much interesting to watch than those weak FL let everyone push them around. FL in this was bullied her whole life even from her Dad & her sisters. ML is 20 years old. FL is about 13,14,15 years old in this drama. How mature do you expect a 13,14,15 years old act? Completely agree with you. I'm glad finally somebody can put themselves in the FL character instead of seeing them as 30,40,50,60,70 years old watching this drama. :)

His reason was to not worry her since she's pregnant. He thinks keeping her from it will make her safe & stress less. I gets it why she is mad cause she worries for his life & safety. She thinks because of her he gets in trouble so she turn herself in to help him... The writers knows how to make it complicated a bit since this series don't have much dramatic problems. Happy ending is nice but i think they could do better on the transition of his brother become King & his marriage to Rou Rou since that's kinda a story of this drama. Overall is a great one tho. I keep re-watching it again & again.

I don't disagree with you that she gets into other people's business & she could be a bit calm & smarter on how she approach things & speak with her husband. But Looking back now, she only get into business of ones she care for like 9th Princess, her brother in law & her old friend, her Dad & his unfaithfulwife, her own happiness with her husband, other women that being bully by drunk men. I think ML & FL play an age around 17-20 years old or so from the translation in 1st few eps. So they are both very young & immature & have lot to grow & learn. ML character is like a ideal husband. I'm glad his character is mature enough to love, support & protect his unpredictable wife. Still this drama is leaving many of us the good feeling & hopeful for a Beautiful Love in real life. I see what you're saying. I guess we all have different take on her character. Tang min did a great job consider she seem shy in real life. I actually like her character. I'd watch to the end. You might have a different opinion. She seem out of control & hard head most of the time but that's what she need to be in a family that bullying her & her Mom the whole time since she was born. She isn't afraid to let anyone know how she feel & she fights for her love. This kind of FL lead is much better to watch than those FL that let people push them around all over the place & all they know is cry. The combination of a love story, those funny & sweet moments of those 2 ML & FL, their mistakes, misunderstanding, fights & break ups are pretty much portrait real life couples & problems. I see FL character grows as the series goes on. They both talk about their problems & find solutions together. She listen to her husband most of the time when he advise her. She yield to those 2 evil sisters when she need to be. She seem unreasonable but if you look at the overall series, every fight they have, she has her reasons: either to protect someone, help someone to reunite with a love partner, convince her husband to see that title can't stop someone from loving someone else, worry for her husband safety & for her whole family's lives. Try "General's Lady". It's somewhat similar with Beautiful love story. Some royal drama, fights & break ups but the love & chemistry between ML & FL are so undeniable, strong & real, you feel like they are real couple. Happy Ending. Plus many sweet, funny scenes throughout. You'll love it.
