Yep. I really like the way the writers put this together. I struggled with the book because of the huge amount of flashbacks. Whenever something exciting was happening, the author would suddenly throw a long ass flashback, it got me crazy lol.

Feng Jiu's uncle and the phoenix dude can't remeber his name.

Canon Dong Hua was more like this, so this is more accurate than TMOPB's Dong Hua.

Is it me or they changed A LOT of the original source? From the synopsis it looks like the characters from Ten Miles with a kinda canon setting...

I really like the main actress, but I tend to hate her drama choices. After two or three romantic comedies that were on the meh side, I hope to like this one proyect.

I've been so hyped for this drama, that I fear I'm gonna end up dissapointed.

I would say no. This drama takes on the book, while Eternal Love did not follow their story in the drama for lack of rights. So, the plotline for them in Eternal Love is quite different from the book.

It was set to air before this new regulation. So that's why. Both dramas were supposed to air at the same time. At least that's what People thought, but because both dramas are set in the same world, maybe they delayed this one. And now this

Honestly I don't think they will make 2 seasons. But if indeed was made like that, we can't be sure China will allow both seasons to air. Sometimes series get stuck in this mess of regulations and censorship. Imagine never seeing second season? I'm salty that love and destiny aired first now. I don't know how will this work. Anyways I think that China should tone down their regulations, they're killing creativity.

So what's gonna happen to this drama? I saw on yt that china was about to put up a new restriction to dramas. They can't be longer than 40 episodes. Will this drama see the light of the day? I'm scared this will no longer air or they'll crop out a lot of stuff, to make it fit in 40 episodes.

I have only read the pillow book, but in any case I believe there's a discussion here on the site spotting the differences between book and drama, in terms of their relationship. You are free to ask anyways :)

First try on a thai drama... 12 minutes in, and nothing is happening at all. I even had to skip over to the end of the episode, not a good sign. A lot of details didn't make sense. The first episode and already dragging?
