I fast forwarded through all of the counter plot dialogues and boring parts to get to the result of each one as I found them boring. I like the actors and the series; however, those parts aren't grabbing my interest enough to sit through them.

I only read a few lines of the synopsis these days as some of them give you the entire story.

Agree, it could be both ways, "elegy" also meaning named leads lament for the dead could be the lament by the leads for the maid dying too. So many possible interpretations. These series definitely don't make it perfectly clear. On series endings where it's too ridiculous, I just use my imagination to make it end the way I want having invested so much time in it so I don't get frustrated by lack of closure like so many on MDL do, lol.

From what I remember in the final scenes, the ML looked at his brother who went off running to his Mom to get the antidote. Then there was a clarification when the FL showed up that she had gone to her maid's garden to pay respects in another county and was back. I'd have to re-watch as it's been awhile but that's what I remember about the ending. "Most likely scenario" is your interpretation as well - people always have different interpretations with these vague endings. You may be right; however, that's the way I remember it ending.

You mean the romance that never was because they dragged that part of the story line until the second to last episode and then killed it by her returning to the future. Quite honestly, I've never seen a series where they dragged it to the end, lol.

Mini series are definitely not up to par with the full c-dramas but some are still watchable for in between filler. FL did not die as the ML sent his brother to the Mom for the antidote. There was no reason for the Mom not to give the antidote since the ML made her beloved son the Emperor.

I'm enjoying this one; not comparing it to the full series. Compared against the latest spate of mini series, it holds up well. Like others, I'm also eagerly awaiting LH's next adventure in this universe.

Episode 1 was great; the right amount of action and mystery. Good start.

I watched until the end, only fast forwarded a bit toward the end. It's a good watch. It's not rated as high as the one you just finished; however, story line is good with strong females and males, conniving going on everywhere and good action. Romance is there but not heavy.

The mid part is more about the seconds lead as Hong Ye gets stuck in a sort of prison for what feels like episodes on end and FL is mostly tending flowers, lol. I found this part very boring. It picks up after that arc and near the end.

I hope she takes another Republican era drama. She was on fire in Arsenal Military Academy. That era suits her fiery personality, although costume dramas do as well.

Have you seen Arthdahl Chronicles Season 2? He plays dual roles, very good drama series.
