IQIYI has decent subs but they don't tell you what the notes are about that they keep showing. It puts characters up on the screen that we can't read if we don't speak the language. I wish it was better translated; however, I'm still getting the gist of the show so sticking with it.

Thankfully, they nailed the ending and the poison trope had a conclusion that was fully explained.

His recent short drama, Seeds of Scarlet Longing, is as good as a longer form drama. Great cast, acting and script.

Agree, he is taking monumental risks both with lives and relationships; however, those risks will eventually bring to light the schemes that occurred over the past 2 generations and what happened to Lei Xiu Ming, who is still sitting crippled in a wheel chair not knowing who attacked him and maimed or killed his first gen team those many years ago.

I don't remember a strategist this brilliant since Story of Kunning Palace. FL may be disappointed in ML; however, after 2 generations of chaos with no answers, at least ML is attempting to course correct the past.

It's a good watch but it's too easy to lose interest in this one due to the crazy scheduling; too many 1 episode per day schedule. Most costume dramas release 2 eps per day. This one slowed down to a crawl.

Action scenes were on point. I was not disappointed with the FL as some were. All leads and support acted well in this c-drama. If I don't start fast forwarding in a drama, I rate it high. I did not fast forward as there was so much going on. The scope was huge with location changes, many fighting scenes, betrayals, spies, romance, love and loyalty of country, etc.
