Isn't this typical of cdrama-land though where they don't want to clear up the misunderstandings or get the leads together too soon as they are worried about the script becoming stale. I find it more palatable than Xianxia dramas where the relationship issues go on forever and become almost unbearable to watch.

I don't think there is any way she will go for Su Rong at this point since she knows he is not aligned with her view and is unwilling to go against his clan the way ML does.

LOL. I looked at him for a few minutes in The Double before I thought, "I think I recognize this guy." He looks so different in every role, which is a good thing for an actor.

I wouldn't mind having an abode in that underwater sanctuary of XL's where no on can find you if you don't want to be found. Two totally different worlds; one full of strife above and one peaceful and serene below.

From the FL's perspective though, the one she wants to be with is the one who will put her first above all else and only 1 of the 3 fit that requirement. I also like Xian Liu's character though. I would probably take a chance on him no matter the consequences.

I can't get enough of her performance here. She's definitely a highlight of the show. Especially hysterical after she catches the dude in the closet, lol.

Did you like Story of Kunning Palace? This has a lot in common. A FL that wants better for the second ML whose family gets in trouble in the first life, palace in fighting, squabbling between each other until they figure out their fellings. etc. If you didn't like SOKP, you probably won't like this either. If you did like SOKP, give this one a few more episodes to see if it grabs your attention.

Actress playing the Mom is chewing up the scenery and it's fun to watch.

He was great in that series, as well as Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty (2019). Glad to see him as a lead in this one.

Well, if you're 100% truly loyal, you don't do that, lol. But now that I've gotten more into his back story and they've explained more, I agree that, in order to have the position to overturn his father's case, he needed to take his Mom's name, which gives him the prestige he needs.

I watched the 2017 version and really liked that one. This one is close, although not quite as good IMO.

I like it enough to watch it; however, it is a bit draggy now that they are in the capital. I hope it picks up again.

JSL's mother is a princess; father is mom's second husband who I don't think is nobility so it makes sense that she takes her mom's name for more prestige as she wants to become a princess as well. JXB I think it's for the prestige as well.

I remember that the Jiang family is Noble; however, they are not blood kin of the emperor so they need to be careful. Someone else may be able to elaborate more on this situation.

I haven't seen this show up in my IQiyi membership programs. I think it's a Tencent WeTV series.

It's great so far. The fight scenes are top notch and thrilling. Hopefully, it keeps up the pace.
