Hengdao said they were planning this for years so they must have been looking for a way to deal with Zhu Yu and just going along until their plan was ready. It does make you wonder if they wanted to deal with ZY because of the Mist Soul connection, or they surmised that she would eventually go mad from the dying, negative thoughts and emotions of innocent victims, or because they were forced by circumstance to supply those innocent victims, or because she was so powerful only her daughter could kill her. ZY knew they were planning to use her daughter against her as she stated that to the Hengdao leader. You're right in that you need to pay attention as this is a complex story line.

I find this series is like viewing a fine tapestry; it takes awhile to take it all in and see the entire picture. It's also refreshing to see a series where you don't exactly know what is going on for the first half before the pieces start to fall into place. The acting is on point. I'm on episode 23 and the story line is getting more interesting by the minute.

Bromance is non sexual but can include kissing between the male leads rather than a full blown affair. With China's strict policies these days, people on MDL are referring to The Untamed as a stronger "bromance" than "League of Noblemen" but clearly watchers read into The Untamed that there was more to the relationship between the leads, just not shown. I hear you though that this series is a true bromance and more about the brotherhood between the male leads.

Does this even qualify as bromance? Word of Honor was bromance; however, this just started and already 2 of the Male Leads are in match ups with the females. Hopefully, this genre isn't regressing further.

The opening episode was a great watch with ML bursting out of the sand and showing his special abilities to assist the war; however, through episode 3 it's been a lot of talking since then and not much action or plot movement. I'm going to keep watching to see how it goes.

What I don't understand is why IQ YI (based in China) is brave enough to have an entire Pride section (after China imposed several bans on BL), which is probably more steamy than BL based on the posters and others are afraid to produce more content like Word of Honor.

Knight Flower has romance but not the kissing kind of romance which I think is what Vincenzo is referring to. Several couples ends up together in the end. It's more like the men are courting the women.

It's like it fell out of the sky - dropped without fanfare. 2024 is starting off great.

I watch a lot of K-Saeguks but I've never come across her before. I hope to see more of her work in the future.

Agree, sadly it didn't end on the note we wanted but that happens a lot in C dramas.

Nothing in C-drama currently; however, in K-drama Knight Flower is a great watch IMO if you like leads that both have great fighting skills and support each other.

She was an assassin who never lost and has her ways as well. He was soft hearted; thus, we'll have to disagree. Sadly, almost everyone died in this one so we'll never really know who was the better fighter. The good thing is they truly loved each other and never had to square off against the other person.

Several if you count the triangles where the 3rd party has no chance and the love won't be reciprocated.

Ning's boss told one of his underlings that she's the one to be feared over Ning and not to mess with her as she has no qualms about killing someone she's thinks needs killing, and she proves it several times in the series. I think she's the better fighter as she doesn't hold back.
