KP are...cousins?
Please have some sense! So in the book they won't be cousins by blood, but it's in the show they would decide to make them related by blood? And possible change the course of their relationship

He was drunk. He didn’t consent.
What is becoming a trend? People being rightfully disgusted by the romanticizing of rape/sexual assault in bls. It's not only lazy, it's offensive to the lgbtq community that you would make a victim fall in love with their assaulter. I don't have an issue with these kind of plots as long as they are done right and acknowledged that is it not okay, but there is a high possibility that the step brothers would end up being a couple which cosigns the very toxic trope in bl. Also, people have to free will to watch something not like it or like it and comment on their distaste or appreciation, which is what this comment section is for. If you feel the discussion is spoiling your enjoyment, I welcome you to leave this space.

Eww, you're twisted. So rape without violence or resistance is okay? he couldn't resist because he was so drunk he had to be carried. Other bls had problematic plots that makes this okay?

And people have to realize, that the bite was probably in self-defense bcs Shou Yi was a stranger, plus fights…
You have to pause and realize what you're saying? In reality it is NOT okay to put you hands on someone, especially not in a relationship where you trust the person. No relationship is perfect, but violence doesn't justify or resolve anything and that is how people get killed. Saying you'll punch and slap your partner if they did something because you have a "GOOD REASON" is ABUSIVE! majority of reasons are subjective and if your husband cheat's on you and you slap him, he would have a right to defend himself. I was in an abusive relationship for 4+ yrs and "Good reason" is why my mother in law turned a blind eye to the abuse I received. "he didn't hit you that hard", " you left the kid with him all day", "who is that guy (co worker) he say you talking to, you looked very intimate." those were his good reasons for laying his hands on me. His perception was that I was probably cheating so I deserved to get slapped to my senses. There are only extreme cases where physical violence is required and self defense is one

Now going back to this fictional drama, everyone is making assumptions on our different perceptions which is also very subjective. Season 2 hasn't aired and we have no idea the reason why Shi de left for 5 yrs and we obviously do not know if that is the reason for the slap or punch later on, everyone is just speculating. Leaving for 5 years in MY opinion is not a good reason for all the slaps and punches and stuff in the MV. I trust the writer as a good storyteller based on her past works that is why I have not passed any judgement till I watch it. In reality, if my partner leave for 5 yrs, by the 2nd yr and I have not gotten any contact or reason as to why, then there is no relationship anymore and I'll start moving on. As this is fiction, there has to be a good reason for leaving and there would probably be a "good reason" for the initial slap.
