The whole show was a mess. basically she and some of her co-stars accidentally abandoned Yangyang after an interview in (I think) the UK(?)( it was a foreign country) while filming for the reality show. And yangyang was basically stuck in the middle of the road for a few hours and nobody went to get him. When two of the co-stars finally got yangyang back to the hotel, Zheng Shuang didn't show any care about him and just said "oh, you're back" and that was it. This situation wasn't only her fault but since she was suppose to be the leader and the tour guide in this overseas trip, ppl thought she wasn't responsible enough. There were more incidents during this show but this was one of the main ones. Plus Yangyang was so emotionally scarred due to this trip that he refused to go on any reality shows for the next 5 years. He even told one of his co-stars Liu Yifei(another actress) to not go on the reality show.

I feel like her actions aren't surprising if you followed all her controversies from the start. She has a habit of not taking accountability for her actions. She was called out numerous times for her unsympathetic and unprofessional behavior during reality shows such as Divas hit the Road. During a live stream controversy, last year, she suddenly refused to continue live streaming(her explanation was that she hated the idea of live-streaming, but that was literally her job that she agreed to do) and just left, leaving all the staff and her co-hosts confused and trying to salvage everything. She actually never apologized to the two co-hosts and it was also revealed that the two co-hosts were asked to help her live stream by her team without any payment. the livestream was 8+ hours. In a way, this was like a foreshadowing of her actions in this mess. She went for the marriage and kids thinking it was all butterfly and rainbows, then when it didn't meet her expectations, she just ups and leaves, without caring about anyone except herself. Even now, after admitting to everything, she still does not take responsibility or even realize that she had done anything wrong.

Thats partially true. But the ex-husband has been actually getting the heat for the past year because he has been accused by Zheng Shuang of cheating, extortion, tax evasion...etc. They had actually still have an ongoing court case for the co-owned company they opened together. They both posted a message on weibo(right after the break up). Shuang has eluded to a "secret" in that post, which has many speculating that the ex had tried to threaten her or had tried to do something about this behind close doors before all of this mess. And her fans had actually been harassing and bad-mouthing him for 'escaping' to US to evade his crime. The problem was that there were no real evidence against him and he wasn't a public figure so everyone believed he was the only bad guy and he was silent all this time.

Another thing about the fans.
The hate is both ways, Bailu’s obsessive fans aren’t any better than Xukai’s. Just go on Weibo. I mean the hate had gotten so bad that both of them actually had to unfollow each other on Weibo. And honestly both their fans are already considered “tame” in the C-ent fan base world. If it was other fan bases, they would probably be ripping each other’s throats out.

This is also another reason why I’m kind of conflicted about them starring in a drama together. It’s not like in the West where celebrities can act with and be with whoever they want and they don’t have to worry about the consequences. In the Chinese industry if a celebrity announces a relationship or become too close to someone or if they have too many CP fans, their reputation and jobs are at risks. (CP fans, shipping people are not really accepted and most solo fans actually really hate the concept of shipping and CP fans). If YZ decides to pair them up again, then it’s basically slapping their solo fans in the face. Which is really bad because solo fans are the core of each celebrities fanbase. And both Bailu and Xukai would have to bear the hate and gain even more haters.

YZ definitely makes the decisions but I completely disagree on the fact that YZ favors Xukai a lot more than Bailu. Bailu is the go to female actress for YZ, even WJY can’t compare to the her. If you take a close look at Bailu’s dramas, she actually has more dramas from outside productions than Xukai. Her main roles outweighs xukai’s main roles and the fact that she even debuted as a FL just shows how much YZ actually favors her. The Chinese film and drama industry is going through a “winter” period right now. For many actors and actresses getting a job is already considered a great accomplishment never mind getting almost all main roles since debut.

Also about the casting for this drama. YZ had publicly said that the main casts for this drama would be artists under his company so Angelababy is definitely not the FL. In fact, the only actor that YZ outright named is Bailu. On the promotion and presentation of this drama the name written under the main lead is Bailu. So basically, Bailu actually has a higher percentage of being the FL than Xukai being the ML. Both Bailu and Xukai are filming dramas right now so there’s still at least 4 to 5 months until the cast is confirmed. Bailu, Xukai and Wujinyan are all just speculations right now.
