You missed the point there. Yi-jae did not get his legs chopped off because of life. he got them cut off because…
I think you missed 90% of what the person above said. Another central message of the show was how painful it feels to have someone you love die and these episodes beautifully illustrate that. Yi Jae had his body dismembered, yet the pain was still less than what he felt when jisu died, that's why he was so adamant and focused on revenge for many parts of the story. So as for what you said: Why did Yijae have to get his legs chainsawed off to learn that life is valuable? He got chainsawed to learn that no pain he endured physically was deeper than the pain he felt mentally and spiritually when his love died and that was the same level of pain he had caused his mother. So, sure, one could interpret this show as shaming people who commit suicide BUT as someone who has contemplated it before, it showed how important it is to think about the people who love you, because if you have those people around you, you've always got chances. So don't hurt yourself and don't hurt them. I think this is the message it's trying to convey.
pretty sure it’s voluntary, he didn’t HAVE to take the role. & he’s doesn’t look overweight at all, there’s…
Yes everyone has a choice on their roles, BUT only to an extent. After all actors are also trying to make a living and having them put on weight or lose weight shouldn't be encouraged. Are they dedicated? Yes. Is that admirable? Sure. But is it a good thing? No. It's the same analogy as someone working overnight for a job. They didn't have to do that, but they want to give their all to their work, but at the end, their body is being harmed.
As for your comment on whether he's overweight or healthy, I don't think we can judge that based on his photos alone. Healthiness isn't on weight alone nor is it on looks. Someone who's super skinny suddenly having to eat a lot is not gonna sit well with their body. The same goes for the reverse. Ofc the case would be different if there is a dietitian on board or a fitness coach and what he's gaining is muscle and not just fat. But again, we can't say he's health or unhealthy, only that this behaviour shouldn't be encouraged and followed by other actors.
Finally!! I'm so happy for him, after all those proven FAKE controversies, his career can finally get back on track. He's an amazing actor and I hope he gets bigger and better projects in the future.
When SoMun twisted Wong's (the evil spirit in yellow jacket) arms, I got chillsss!!! The villains this season are much better than the last, they have so much character!!
So I went back to the first episode and noticed something. In the beginning, we get an introduction from Changho…
I havent thought about it like that, I did think he's initial narration was quite odd, but just chalked it up to him being overconfident at the start. Though that being said, I really hope changho is a good person and not big mouse, cuz if he is....poor miho
Why are some people saying they don't like Miho cuz she smirked??? or that she's overconfident? She and PCH literally uncovered the corrupt VIP's crimes, screwed GJH over, she helps her husband in every way possible, and came up with a plan to get in contact with him without anyone knowing just last ep. And now she probably senses something wrong with the NIS agent too or the blood collection as well as Mayor Choi and just acting "normal" to fool them. They probably have something up their sleeves considering it's PCH who's willingly going back to prison. So Miho feels assured (not really accurate to say its overconfidence) unless she takes an L in the later episodes.
