I've watched episodes 1 and 2 and so far, I am not liking this.
Ep.1 was competent enough, it mainly introduced our players and their motivations. However, it failed to grip me. I think I know why after watching EP. 2 : There is no tension.
There are no ups or downs, no excitement or frustration, no stress or elation. The writing clearly wants me to feel those things ( and the composer bless their heart is doing their best to inject some life into some scenes, though their choices are rather uncreative).
It's a very passive watch for me. I can't figure out why I am not emotionally invested -or at least intrigued - in any of the characters or even the main plot. Is it the directing? Editing? Writing? Maybe all three?
I picked this drama because I am a fan of MCW, so I hope that my initial impressions prove to be wrong and that this will grow into a solid drama.
